I don;t know all your personal details dude. I know you served in the military, but I didn't know which. I apologize for unintentionally insulting you.

I never served, but I respect and honor all who did, regardless of anger they hold inside and direct at people. I try to be the kind of citizen worth serving for...*if* they let me.

I'm gonna say one last thing and be done...it's not *me* with the "issues". You are way to combative to have a worthwhile discussion with. This is a rhetorical question as you seem to refuse to answer straight away...you said this:
"Dak has the ability to lead men to accomplish whatever is in front of them."

So...what is "in front of him"? To have a #1 offense? Or...WIN THE GAME?

Rhetorical.
Like I said, you’ve got issues. I never said the goal was to have a #1 offense. Those are your words. Don’t try to change the narrative. That’s cowardly.

So tell me what you are actually trying to say. You spend so much time being combative you can't actually make a coherent opinion.

I think you made a comment you can't back up, and now you deflect...
You left out the most important advantage Dak has over Watson. Leadership.

What has dak shown that is such a huge advantage? What do we have to show for it?

There isn't any "advantage" and you got called out. Now you are mad and lashing out.

You've even after all this....never said exactly what leadership dak has.....over Watson. You clearly know you military leadership but HORRIBLY confused and confounded by civilian and NFL football "leadership". Probably mislead by your dak love. Nothing wrong with that it is what it is.

I asked you what "leadership" dak has shown....and specifically over Watson. You think you actually answered this question? NOPE...you just fight.

Dude, you not only have issues but major issues. What has Dak shown that is such a huge advantage? The love and respect of his team mates. Did you not see their reaction when he was injured? Do you not hear the players talk about Dak? Do you not hear what the coaches say about his leadership? Apparently not in all cases.

I am a Dak fan all in favor of resigning him, but Watson is better. As far as pure arm talent goes, Watson is a LOT better

Watson started off 1-6 and finished 4-12. He proved that he can’t carry a team. The OP is right. If you don’t like Dak you shouldn’t like Watson.

I like both Dak and Watson a lot. I’d take Dak over Watson but it’s close.
I don’t like Dak at 40m. I like Watson at late 20m over Dak at 40m.
I like Russell Wilson much better than both even at 35m
Russell signed his contract 3 years ago, thus the average..... if he signed today, he would be 45. with that said, he is good, don't get me wrong, but he is 1-3 in the playoffs in the past 5 years.....

Watson has not the weapons Dak has had, plain and simple. That being said I do like Dak, but finding any GM in the world that thinks Dak is better is just silly. Afther that and that being said, lol...in no way do I give up a haul in order to get Watson and that includes giving up Dak. The difference between them would not justify this
really!!! so Hopkins wasn't a weapon? Brandin Cooks wasn't a weapon? Will Fuller wasn't a weapon? don't forget that Dak has only had Cooper since mid 2018. before that was allen hurns, and some other no name. and before that a one footed often injured Dez and old man witten, so lets not make it out to be as if Watson hasn't had weapons...I take Hopkins, a top2,3 WR over Cooper any time of the week and the 8th day.

and Watson has gone 4-12 twice. even quincy carter, with campo and company went 5-11.

plain and simple, what you said was totally BS

and GMs last year, ranked Dak in the top 10 of QBs, with most have him ahead of Watson.....so no, its not silly for a GM to find Dak better than watson, its silly for you to think that.

I don’t know what Dak is getting that wasn’t my point. Comparing Dak to Watson is not viewed the same way as the league views them two. Watson is considered the better QB.
watson is considered better by whom? last year they did a survey of 50 FO personnel and dak was ranked better than watson by many....so who is it that you are refering to?

the best comparison is to look at what the Seahawks did after they gave Wilson the big contract. Cowboys are close to the same position, except no championship trophy to rest their laurels on (yes, Seahawks competitive, and i believe Russell Wilson is the best QB in the league -- but he obviously couldn't get it done by himself)
seahawks made a run. they are in a rebuild mode, knowing that it will take several years....

Agree Watson is elite. Think Dak is right below him but still great. I don’t find the numbers arbitrary at all. Read the article. They guy lost his top WR, had no RB and D and was still this efficient. Youd be fitting Dak for Canton if he did it. Watson had the best season in their franchise history.

https://www.foxsports.com/stories/n...-the-nfls-best-quarterback-in-2020-pff-argues

According to Pro Football Focus, Watson took his game to the next level in 2020. His regular-season passing grade of 92.5 was the 19th-best regular-season grade recorded since 2006, when PFF began keeping complete statistical data for the league.

To put that in perspective, anything above a grade of 90.0 is considered historically great.
Watson is elite? he has two 4-12 seasons...how is he elite exactly?

Stafford, Jackson, and Ryan are better. Cousins is equal.

Meanwhile.....Burrow, Lawrence, Herbert, Murray, and probably Mayfield will zoom right past them. Plus Darnold, if he wasn't in football purgatory, and watch out for Zach Wilson.

Dak is middle of the road. Watson is a slight tick better.
Mayfield!!? really. Mr. 50% pass completion!!! and Murray? what the heck has he done to earn any respect....lawrence hasn't played a down and you are already greasing him up with the annointing oil.....

seems like your top 10 has 20 people in it now.

Overnight we have been transported to separate planets or alternate universes.

Dak is better than Watson? Are we talking about the Watson who upset Alabama for the championship 4 years ago?
Dak is smarter than Watson? Huh? How do you measure that, old boy?
And you forgot to include 10 or so more QBs who are winning more or better than Dak, who is an average player, has one playoff victory, no college championships and now walking gingerly on a foot that can snap again.
In my book, Watson is an 8.
Dak is a 4.

Hollah
I wasn't aware that college games count towards how good a QB these players are in the NFL...you realize Clemson and Alabama are semi-pro teams loading up on college talent compared to the rest of NCAA

so far, Watson has two 4-12 seasons....Quincy Carter with Dave Campo weren't that bad....and watson sucked it up twice....so we can't even say its an anamoly.
