25 years of nothing, caved to Zeke with 2 years of control, gave Jaylon an extension for who knows why, and now the 2+ year unresolved Dak contract saga.

How anyone can still have an ounce of confidence in Jerry & Stephen is beyond me. These bumbling fools aren't winning anything any time soon. :facepalm:

in the last 2 years Rivers retired, Brees retired, Eli retired, Ben got older, Carson fell of the map, Luck retired, Carr stabilized at 'okay' status, Lamar had a back to earth season, Goff receded, Cousins got worse, Alex Smith is no longer what he was, Cam got a lot worse....

before all those things I put Dak around 13th. So are there are at least 3 guys who were above him in that list that are now below or outright gone? And who jumped him, if anybody?

Yeah hes top 10

Are you saying that Dak's game hasnt gotten better in the last two years? Would like to see the numbers?

No, im saying a lot of players fell below him who i used to have above, and not many (if any) surpassed him. So hes only going up the list

Jerry could have had this wrapped up for 35 million or a little less two years ago and 35 million just last year and he blew it. So if he has to pay upwards of 40 million, then he blew it.

-Sign Dak, play out the next 3 years, continue to build the defense and team around the QB
-Sign Dak, at some point trade him while you build the defense and team around the QB
-trade him now before the draft

Options that make ZERO sense:

-Let Dak walk
-let Dak play on the tag this year and let him walk

Either way, this Jerry/Dak contract is to the point of total stupidity. Needs to be done with already one way or the other.

If i had thought the Cowboys low balled Dak anytime in the last 2 years i would agree with you but the truth is they didn't. He was reportedly offerred fair contracts (top 3 money) in both in 2019 and 2020, and he or his agent turned them down. Give Dak the transition tag and let him look elsewhere to see what his value is...the Cowboys will always have the option to match any offer he receives and truthfully what could he be offerred ($$$ wise) that we couldn't match at this point? especially if reports are true about Dak asking 40-41m per season. From where i stand it is Dak playing the "greed" card and not the Cowboys playing the "cheap". I said it last year and i believe it this year too..Dak will again play on the tag this season....and that is where he belongs

You think Romo and Aikman walk straight into big time broadcasting gigs if they played their careers in Jacksonville?
