1. Are you talking about getting 2 additional 1st rounders?
2. If so, how do we get them, and would they both be this year, or spread over a couple of years?
3. What do you consider "short term" for a contract with Dak?
4. Why are the free agency opportunities "unprecedented" this year?

It's easy for me.

Nobody is trading 2 first rounders for Dak and turning around and paying him.

If we got a deal similar to Wentz i'd be shocked. Maybe we could get that same deal and instead of a conditional 1 we would just get the 1 and a 3.

The biggest W would be the money saved.

Exactly. We will have to package those first round picks to either trade for a QB or move up in the draft to pick a QB who only has about a 20% chance to turn out as good as Dak. Ya it makes absolutely zero sense whatsoever to let one of the best young QBs walk so we can spend a ton of resources on another qb and letting our defense get even worse.

1. There has to be a team willing to meet his contract demands and give up 2 1sts.

2. It is nothing more than an assumption that this team would be a real player in FA. They are more likely to overpay their own to keep the band together.

Not all 1st round picks are created equal. A top 5 pick is basically worth almost three late first round picks.

It's easy for me too. I will resign Dak. Without A franchise QB your chances diminish greatly. The last team that did it was Ravens and they had two HOF all time best defensive players in Lewis and Reed and few other great players.

So tell me who are the HOF type players available to build a defense that it would take to.compensate for craapy QB play we will end up with.

Sorry to say you have very little vision. We are at best an 8-8 with Dak.
Get a young QB and draft pays any day of the week and twice on Sundays. It's a no brainer.
Only the Jones boys would screw this up.
