Bottom line is Jerry has bumbled the Dak negotiations

At 40 million or 41 million per year average, were at the ridiculous point. If that is truly where we are.

Jerry could have had this wrapped up for 35 million or a little less two years ago and 35 million just last year and he blew it. So if he has to pay upwards of 40 million, then he blew it.

On the surface, it looks like Dak cares about maximizing his money. If all this salary conjecture is really true. His determination to maximize his money 3 years from now with the TV contract shows again, that we will have to do this all over again, and the numbers will be even more crazy. If the rumors are true.

Problem is we have NO other options at the moment.

Cutting Dak for nothing is just dumb. Simply cant do that. You either sign Dak 3 years and work on his replacement during that time or you trade him.

Giving away the rights to Dak is NOT an option.

Here are the options I see that make any sense:

-Sign Dak, play out the next 3 years, continue to build the defense and team around the QB
-Sign Dak, at some point trade him while you build the defense and team around the QB
-trade him now before the draft

Options that make ZERO sense:

-Let Dak walk
-let Dak play on the tag this year and let him walk

Either way, this Jerry/Dak contract is to the point of total stupidity. Needs to be done with already one way or the other.

when you “bumble” something is that basically when a bumble bee makes a mess off everything?

He likes Dak, but thinks he isn't worth his asking price, which most reasonable fans also think.
I tune out comments from Dan Orlovsky about Dak's comments. I'm glad he got paid.....now everything will be blamed on him about everything.

We could have definitely got Dak for cheaper. However, that is spoiled milk. From what we know right now the way the deal is structured it is not a big cap hit per year which makes the over dollar amount of the deal irrelevant.

Im not apologizing for the hundreds of likes Ive given you... suck it up butter cup
@CATCH17 is an interesting cat.
I can disagree with one, just one thing (about Brady coming here), with him and he thinks I disagree about everything he says.
He's that guy.

He's a good poster with cogent things to say, although he screams them to the high Heavens every single day as if it makes a difference, but he has massive tunnel vision.

It's disappointing.
He could be so much more, but he's lazy and stubborn.

I don’t think that at all.. You assumed that and if I came off that way I apologize.

Sorry if I get hostile at times but I have a lot of people that come at me with insults and not a debate so sometimes I forget which one said what and I don’t handle myself well.

I have been more pro Dak than many people but this price tag gives me pause. Why drag out the negotiations 2+ years if you're just going to fold for more than Dak started asking for in the first place?

I know...Geez let's face it, all these players get paid way too much. Way more than guys/gals trying to cure diseases, cancer, covid..whatever..saving lives and all that stuff.

All these players should feel like they are winning the lottery every day but I am sure they don't. The respect thing is always laughable to me because generally they are providing entertainment for the masses. That's it for the most part.

Some not all of these athletes do quite a bit with their status and money. But overall I agree with you point.

Forgiven. You're a truly great poster, in my eyes, and I agree with much of what you say.
You've just called me out on things that I haven't disagreed with you on and that irked me.

Hopefully we have come to an understanding.

@khiladi does the same thing and I hope stuff comes to a good head.

Yeah I don't mean to lump them all in the same boat. Some definitely do a lot including Prescott, they risk their bodies on the field but let's face it they aren't curing diseases or storming beaches in hails of machine-gun fire. That's what I mean.

Oh I agree but I would much rather the players get the money than the owners. Most of us tune in on Sundays for the players.

Yeah the owners already got the $$$.. LOL Jerry fills his Yacht with Gas probably 5x more a year in $$ than he will be paying Dak. Everytime he fills his Yacht it is probably like $6-7 million for a full tank. That's some perspective of rich for you.

If the owners don't get money, the league will fold.

I swear, you guys have the strangest way of looking at things.
