Jerry hasn't been in the penthouse for over 25 years. This year will just be another visit to the outhouse.

Watson yes, Wilson and Mahomes got their big deals because they had already won a SB and gotten to others...big difference, some guys earned their big deals the others haven't

so if you already played good, you deserve a big contract and don't have to win it again? there is a huge wave of big QB contracts coming, this list of 40M QBs can grow to 10-12 easily in the next 2 years.....so I guess we know who the superbowl winners are in the next 10-12 years.

Lol we definitely have the cap room and picks to do it. It's hard to buy a good defense, ask the Giants. Since you don't know how the numbers work, do us all a favor and never become the Cowboys GM.

There was a thread last season saying no big contract qb has ever won a SB, so there is something to that.

Much easier to do when your qb is cheap or midrange, on rookie deal etc.

so if you win it, then you deserve to be paid a large contract and never win it again?

and you act as if the last chapter of Dak's career has been written. he may or may not reach a superbowl given the number of factors that go into it. one thing for sure, no doubt, a franchise QB is the easiest path to the superbowl and he gives us the best legitimate chance.

and if Mahomes doesn't win another superbowl it would be considered a mistake of colossal magnitute
if Watson never wins one, its a colossal mistake
if Wilson doesn't it was a colossal mistake to pay him and then probably somebody extending him
Allen will get paid, 40+ and if he never wins one it would be a colossal
Mayfield will get his money and if he doesn't win one, its a colossal misake
and the list goes on..

every team does what will give them the best chance to compete. in the NFL there are no gaurantees. like I said, so many factors go into it, like coaching (remember garrett who iced his kicker!!!)

so I guess Watson didn't deserve his contract. Allen is about to get paid and I guess he doesn't deserve his upcoming contract.

Wilson is 1-3 in the past 5 years. he had Lynch and top 3 defense which they haven't been able to replicate.....I guess he ain't winning one, and as I said, he got paid as a thank you.

and based on your statement, if a team doesn't win it, none of the players on that team deserve a new contract....or is it just the QB?

and you think we can have a chance to win it, with the like of Choking Dalton!?
