Looks pretty decent per PFF and Pro Football Reference.

Should come cheap per OverTheCap
https://overthecap.com/player/damontae-kazee/5735/

And we do *love* bringing in players injured the previous year to avoid comp pick loss, while allowing us to churn them the following year for a pick. Plus history with Quinn. Even has position flex at SS/FS.

He ticks all the boxes. Get him. We have *one* S right now. We need a starter and depth. He's great depth and a credible starter. Perfect bridge player. I hope we get a 2nd year option on him.

5 pages of whining.

Kazee if healthy is a ballhawk and upgrade at S.

The "if healthy" part is the issue. This seems more like the Cowboys thinking his injury makes him real cheap, which is right up their alley, and they are gonna cross their fingers that he can stay healthy.

I like Kazee as well. But the reality is that he's a risk signing if that's the direction they go in trying to "fix" safety.

I really would like this signing.

Kazee played in all 16 games the previous 3 years. He hasn’t been injury prone. He unfortunately did have this one very serious injury.

however, if his rehab and medical check out then he could be a legit upgrade for us and at least a starting quality safety.

I like it.

I really would like 2 safeties. A FA starting quality one and one taken Within the top 3 rounds who has starting potential.

we do that plus have Donovan Wilson. I would have some optimism about the safety position.
totally agree.
i'd love to see them draft 2 s's.....but it's an easter miracle to see them draft 1 so i'll be happy with that.

If he'll take a 1yr prove it deal for vet min then okay. Otherwise, pay for the bus ticket down to Houston.

just like he was here, he's good as a rotational guy...he's not a difference maker though...Hopefully i'm wrong about Kazee and he runs away with the starter job (if we sign him)
Considering the total lack of quality competition, most practice squad safeties could run away with the starting job.

Looking through the Falcons fan forums, they don't seem to think this guy is a good starter. The comment below if kind of the consensus I'm seeing:

I guess my bigger point on Kazee is he seemingly is lacking in football I.Q./awareness back there. For every intercept he grabs...and god knows we need turnovers for this D to hold offenses back...he makes 3 boneheaded plays or misses his assignments in coverage.
This is a future Dallas Cowboy for sure. I can’t believe Jerry hasn’t already traded for this guy.
