Witten is just going to broadcasting for a year and coming back to Dallas again, so no.

You know it was probably LP’s fault that Zuerline missed, so they brought him in a friendly

There were whispers or retirement. I could imagine all the pearl clutching if Jerry didn't bring in a possible replacement for just in case. It isn't like LS is some fine art that anyone can do.

Absolutely as Jerry has his 'buddies' that he needs to take care of and how dare LP pass Witten thereby upsetting Jerry's fragile ego.

Jason Witten holds the Cowboys record for games played in Dallas.

LP Ladoucuer was set to break that record this season.

LP just got cut.

Coincidence?

Not Witten's fault, but I do believe the Cowboys want to preserve Witten's record. I mean, why would you not at least give Ladoucuer a shot at the record if he was a highly esteemed guy? He's just a long snapper. Jerry and company aren't going to let a long snapper surpass Witten's record.

I am just waiting, mateys, for some indignant, self-appointed hall monitor, with palm to face, to decry that it's a long off-season. :muttley:
