Likely had more to do with Fassel's preference when he came available. Maybe there's some things we as fans didn't see with LPs play that jumped out to Fassel.

I'd rather have a solid dude long snapping than some BUDDY BUDDY system BS! Big deal he may not be as fast as other snappers in the league but the dude has been aces for the Boys. If Jake McQuaide was all that then the Rams wouldn't of brought in another LS to take over for McQuaide!

LP was clearly a thug and a bad character for our young guys to be around.

Saw him throwing gang signs after every snap. I had to cover my children's eyes when he did was on the tv screen.
