Maybe you can help us understand how Goff can have a higher winning percentage despite having the exact same record as Dak?

This should be good.
better coach and team, do i win a cookie? oh wait i see the issue well maybe its record of opponents LOL they were better wins..:))) tie breakers go to the qb who actually played in a SB, won an NFFCG,,

ill take that cookie

I’m so sorry. :muttley: I must have laughed at one of your buddies making an utter fool of himself. Did your buddy Bobby send you since he was too embarrassed?

56.....are you sure?

Well......I guess all we have left is to hope you haven't reproduced.

Spot on. Context is everything.

Ok
Question, in the games where we scored 21, did our defense give up the lead or were we always behind and we just ended up scoring 21 in a losing cause?

It makes a difference. One suggests that the Defense did, indeed, cost us games. The other suggests that the Offense was never going to win, regardless of what the D did or did not do.

So you're saying that if the defense grew a pair and held Cleveland to say 30? the offense would not have scored more than 30? Are you claiming that if the offense had stopped the Seahawks after the Cowboys took the lead with 4 minutes left that would have made no difference? I'm sorry I cannot go there with you. It ALL matters.. Every score the defense surrenders matters just like every 3 and out the offense puts up or every turnover matters. The job of the offense is to score.. the job of the defense is to get stops. If the offense scores 5 times but the defense allowed the opponent to score 6 times then the defense cost us the game. The order in which it happens is only marginally important. If people refuse to accept the offense "only showing up in the 4th quarter" then why is it okay for the defense to "only show up in the 4th quarter?" If the offense can only score against teams playing soft why cant I say the defense only gets stops when the other team takes its foot off the gas? Shouldn't it work both ways? Play well the whole damn game.. That's what good teams do.. History has shown me that more often than not, the offense will eventually figure out the favorable matchups and open up a can on the opposing defense. Now no one will get an argument from me that they need to get there a lot quicker but the pattern is clear. Aside from games where a savvy old DC undressed our boy wonder OC the offense has been able to find its rhythm at some point.

The numbers say Prescott has 15 4th quarter comebacks/game winning drives ion his career. You get a 4th quarter comeback if you come from behind to win and a game winning drive if you lead the winning drive when behind or tied .. Dak had 14 of those in his first three seasons in the league.. The most in NFL history for the first three years of a QB's career. To me that's not something to just gloss over. With all the great QBs that have played this game.. for him to have been the best ever at bringing his team back over his first three seasons is huge. Again not fitting him for his gold jacket.. but that's pretty heady stuff. I also believe over that span he was #1 in the league for 4th quarter comebacks not for guys starting their career.. but for everybody.. All QBs.. I put the fact that those achievements have tailed off in the last two seasons squarely on the OC. His play calling at the beginning of games and in the red zone THROUGHOUT the games has been horrendous. There is no other way to characterize it. I can't believe he will be allowed to squander so many scoring opportunities down close this season .. I have to believe McCarthy will take away his playsheet if he starts that crap again.. If he doesn't, then they'll both get fired.. and deservedly so.

I mean he is right though...some of you guys act like your shoe size and not your age.

Someone posted a fact. Some other person said the fact was not true and called the person who posted it a liar. It was true.
I asked for a response from the fool who was wrong. And laughed at the fool.
And you find that childish?

Not even kind of true. If you aren't even willing to recognize the obvious facts that impact every single thing involved in building this team, then don't comment at all. It's only going to be a dishonest post and I have no time for that.

What ever "Standard" you apply is irrelevant. That only matters to you. This is about what is, not what is in your mind. Kellen Moore is not the reason Dak did not find receivers or overthrew targets or just flat didn't execute, early in games. The plays were there and you can see that if you go to the all 22 but that's here nor there, the question, once again, is if other teams came back on us after being down or were they always up and we scored points along the way. That will tell you if it was on our D or if it was poor Offense to go along with poor Defense. There is no getting around that.

The dude will argue with you for 20+ pages if he must. Waste of time.

Not another one of these threads.

PS

Tua Tagovailoa is a starting QB and had a 6-3 record last year thereby placing him at a .667 win % and above Dak on the list.

Jared Goff has a 42-27 career record with a win % of .609 so he is ahead of Dak too.

So by adding the 2 above Dak is not in the Top 10 of starting QB's career win %.
Goff record
44-30

Not surprisingly, it went right over your head.
I have no interest in anyone's age here. It is irrelevant.
Apparently, you do have a lot of time on your hands.

Gotta say that in the 1-1/2 years I have been on CZ I have never clicked on anyone's user name simply because I didn't want to seem like a stalker....but that's me.

Stats, especially caerer stats for comparison have minimum number of throws or games played to be counted in comparison so not to have a QB like Tua Tagovailoa and all of 9 games being compared to QB's with 50, 60, 80 or100's of games played. It's a heck of a lot easier to have high averages with fewer units to average than a vast number of units. if Goff's stats are right then Prescott is sti8ll in the top 10.
