Could be right...
I hope I’m not but if the past 25 years is any indicator then being right is in my favor. I was somewhere guilty of buying the hype last year, I’m not falling it for again and will remain critical until proven otherwise.

This Draft is weak at DE
how many dang DE do we need we have many ont his team and some interior guys that can play DE..DT in middle is where we need too add a player

Dlaw, Gregory, Basham, ANae, & Armstrong I men that 4 main pass rushers then defense alignment calls have Dbs, LBs, and other players move into pass rush dutys..

"That happened on Thanksgiving weekend."

I don't see any information in the link to support that claim.

If it were true, what were we doing playing Aldon so much through December? Play someone else.

On Aldon's issues, it's sad. Sounded like he had gotten his life together prior to coming here. What happened? Did he revert to bad habits, or were they always just blowing smoke up our skirts?

And why would the Cowboys come out and *announce* to the league that they weren't interested? We lose and he loses by talking him down in the market. It's like last year, when they kept playing him when he was obviously out of gas. Were they just trying to put bad tape out there on him?

Was hoping to have smith back with a full training camp under his belt, got off to a quick start but faded. I think that should have been expected from a guy who had not played in 4 seasons

But for unnamed "issues", I was expecting him to have a better season this year. A guy who hadn't played in 4 years was likely not to be in football shape to hold up for a full season. With a season and full offseason, he should be better prepared.

Now they'll have to replace him with someone else that might not be as good for around the same price...churning for the sake of churning is a waste of time.

well that and THREE DL signed so far this offseason plus the draft to go..basham will take his place and guys like Anae and armstrong play a few extra snaps..thats why it makes sense..:)
I hope Anae finally gets his chance.

It's time for Randy Gregory to pay back the Cowboys for their faith in him.

This is the year. He must have a coming out party or this defense will struggle to pressure quarterbacks.

IMO they intend to move on from Gregory after this season. The better Gregory plays, the better chance of that happening.

Per multiple reports, the Cowboys have informed defensive end Aldon Smith that he won’t return to the team next season. Smith became a free agent on March 17.

Smith started 16 games for the Cowboys in 2020, after missing four full seasons due to suspensions. He had five total sacks.

Baby Randy gets his special bib bay treatment as usual. Daddy gonna make sure big baby gets to play play. This team is a joke.
Lol, I had you on ignore and couldn’t remember why so I removed the block

3 minutes later! I see this and think “oh yeah, right choice the first time”

“Good luck in your future endeavors”

When I say the article headline on ESPN, “Dallas reportedly told Smith he won’t be returning” I was hoping it was Jaylon, and really hoping it wasn’t Tyron. Turns out I’m not ecstatic or sad. Very meh.

I think he played too many snaps
But the Fish comment is very interesting and may be the real reason

He gave a valiant effort and played better than I thought he would. He really has little left in the tank and is a progress stopper at this point in time. I wish him well.
