I pretty sure that "the work they are doing now" doesn't even include low impact contact. He's basically saying they look good throwing around a therapy ball and taking intensely hot whirlpool baths.

Tyron has missed a third of all regular season games over the past 5 seasons. The great ones always had the gift of durability. Larry Allen started all 16 games in 10 of his 14 seasons including 4 of the last 5. Even Flozell Adams started all 16 games in 10 if his 12 seasons including his last five seasons. Since coming to the Cowboys Marc Columbo started every game of the season in 5 out of 6 years.

If you were to take the average of the left tackles performance last season you would have to weigh in Tyron's 2 starts, 9 by Brandon Knight and 5 by Cam Erving.

The Cowboys don't just need Tyron Smith to come back. They need the elite, lead-by-example, set-the-tone Tyron Smith coming back and staying healthy during what we all hope is a 19 game season. I would rather have a 2nd tier player start all 16 games than a 1st tier Tyron start 10 followed by a 4th tier backup.

Telling us that Tyron looks great was less about honest, objective analysis and more about following instructions from someone selling tickets. It's a relevant statement before the first playoff gamer, not the first minicamp.

I wouldn’t mind if they used their second round pick on a future LT like Walker Little. It’s time.

You don't draft a top 10 pick to back up in case of injury. You use that pick a starter. We just redid all the contracts for the OL, so they are your starters. You signed one of the best swing tackles in the league in FA, you got 2 young OT that got a lot of experience last year and did OK, not great by any means but OK. If you want to bring in competition fine, do that, use a pick or two late or some UDFA.. using a top pick on the OL is a waste of a pick.
Is this true? I haven't heard that before.

There’s not a clear cut study out there to make it easy, but every time Nsekhe’s had to step in he’s been a productive and sometimes high caliber T.

He handled both RT and LT well for Washington a few years back and did great in the game he played for Daryl Williams this year. Absolutely manhandled Clowney.

So many guys on Twitter that cover the Cowboys have turned into utter aholes

It's like they think they can't be wrong and theirs is the only opinion that counts. Talk about self entitled

You know which guy's I speak of

I'm in the room.

Words hurt, you know.

Isn't this the game where Smith broke his leg?

Maybe these tweets should be copied into that ridiculous ‘sign Clowney’ thread from a few days ago?

People here love names and it’s weird because they used to criticize JJ for doing the same.

Draft is deep at OT.

This is the one where you find a future starter in the 4th or 5th round.

Even when they have to resort to using college tape because the pro career has been such a disappointment. Willful ignorance on full display.
