There gonna get a tight-end ...... I can almost hear Jerry clenching up at the thought of drafting another Witten.

if Pitts is the bpa at 10, you gotta take Pitts. We dunno how Dallas' board is stacked. I want Surtain at 10 or BPA. Oline would be nice.

Pass,, we must take a solid LB in this draft.
Dont think it will be done early, the 10 is too valuable, but Parsons does intrigue.
Jerry loves them rehabs, and Dylan Moses can be had in the third maybe fourth, a former five star recruit,, he tore his ACL.
I know I come off as condescending in my evaluations of draft picks, its always easy right,,, always be the 20-20 vision after the fact.. I get it.
Jerry and son, just need to stay away from the reclamation projects on draft day.
I understand FA, and this teams approach with prior injured players you get the daily discount, its all good.
Just please, Jerry.. lets draft some healthy players, role your dice in FA,, but please draft some non rebuild projects... this roster needs prospects, not projects.

You sign Wright and there are no worries about the unit for this season. Add a future starter in the draft and it puts them in good position moving forward. Wright can play all positions, knows the scheme, is a leader. Just makes too much sense to do it

I don't have doubt that KJ Wright is the best linebacker available.

That's neither here nor there. It's the cost that dooms his signing.

Sadly, awful management is the inherent problem with this team.

This FO is hardly a balls-to-the-wall type of managerial machine.

I can't help but consider it's somewhat possible that we'd be inclined to take Parsons in round 1 and Jaycee Horn in round 2. Of course, doing that would rely upon things falling ideally in the upcoming draft. I'd love for this FO to be more daring in acquiring capable vet FAs like KJ Wright. It's wishful thinking on my part, however -- I'll openly admit to that. The price might be our FO's main deterrent to acquiring KJ, though. We'll see about that. ;)

There is very little chance the team heads into the draft with just two starting caliber linebackers. Yes, Neal will play a little linebacker, but that might just be more of a nickel role.

KJ Wright is the best linebacker available, can play all 3 spots and has played in this scheme under Dan Quinn. Adding him, would stablize the position and wouldn't force the team to reach to fill a need in the draft. I really think it's going to come down to him staying with Seattle or Wright either signing with us or the Raiders.
Its well known and on tape. Our lb corps sucked last season. Was it the scheme? Lack of practice time due to c19? You gotta play like a rabid dog to be an effective lb. You also need to be instinctive, watchful, and fearless. The great ones were rarely fooled or out of position because they were totally focused and in the flow of the game. I dont see these qualities in any of our lb corps. K J is proven. If he is healthy, offer him a 3 yr deal and see if he can push Jaylon to get better or simply get pushed out the door in 2022.

Getting Horn in rd 2 isn't happening. The team did sign Griffen last yr to a 6 million contract so they have given out more then minimum level type of deals in the past. Sean Lee made 4.5 last year, forget about resigning him and use that money for Wright.

What's it going to be then, eh?

No state tax in Texas. Never say never. Make it achievable Incentives. All Good. All good franchises have underling verbiage that gets past surface cap numbers.
I keep hearing how the no state tax thing in Texas is an advantage. By the looks of things, it does not impress anyone enough to go running to play for the Cowboys.

LOL right. All media outlets and fans say it. It doesn’t seem to matter to players at all.

Beat me too it. Horn is not going in the 2nd round.

Depending upon how much is left to sign the 10 picks we'll have will depend largely on the chances of signing anyone close to Griffen's dollar amount last year. Dallas would likely need to move down to earlier in round 2 to get Horn, imho. We'll see if he goes in rd. 1. If Dallas moves down some in rd. 1, they might go for either Horn or Moehrig.
