Who he replacing........don't say Jaylon Smith coz his $7M just guaranteed this week. He ain't coming off the field.......lol.
You rotate the linebackers. They have done that in the past. Might not be a bad thing to limit Lve’s snaps due to his lack of durability.

It is so gross that I am actually pining away for this signing.

This makes way too much sense. Lee SHOULD retire and KJ fills his spot. If we lose LVE again he starts. We still can draft LB’s as they are needed.

I could be wrong, but KJ Wright at this point seems like one of those signings a team makes after the draft.

If there's still a need at LB after May 1, Wright will start to get some calls. But I wouldn't be against bringing him in now.

They do have options, but I don't think they want to use them. They've essentially filled all their holes with a body, so I think they are wrong. Without doing any restructures, they could add a couple of $1 million-plus FAs or one $2 million-plus one, but they also have shown they like to carry a little money.

Done, not wrong. Must have been my subconscious coming through

Prediction: Two years, $12 million ($6M APY): $6 million total guaranteed, $5 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Prediction. We signed Neal for his position. This thread is dumb

I hope they get a good defensive tackle and a good linebacker out of this draft . Also a solid corner and a safety.
Go get em! Action speaks louder than words.

Lol, someone needs to tell K.J that unless he's willing to take a one year prove it deal it ain't happening. Cheap and cheaper don't play that way

I would run to get him inked. He is a difference maker out there. Would be our best signing.

We got Jaylon and the hurt guys....don't need anything else.
We really like our guys. Quinn is the answer and will change everything in our football lives. Soon we will realize Quin should be HC. We all are just slow coming around. 2021 will wake us up.Waiting for the other McCarthy shoe to drop.

Just remember there is another Blue and White Scrimmage coming up. Maybe this time instead of no jersey name and number McCarthy will make us play with no pants.then we can all try to identify players by genitalia.

:omg:

Theyve still got options they can pull to free up another like 20M. All they have to do is commit to not cutting Cooper and to overpaying Zeke for an extra year. These are pre-negotiated switches built into their contracts, the players have no further say.

Doing so might make 2024 suck, I super don't care. Can't believe I need to say this to Jerry of all people but flip the switches and go all in for once. We've got a window here while our offense is stupidly potent if we can just field a defense in the top 20.

Like it or not I'd absolutely accept cap hell in 2024 to 2025 if it means we're taking a real shot in 2021 and 2022. This is the game these days.

Going to alter what I said about us being done just slightly. McCarthy mentioned that the team has talked to several veteran quarterbacks, so that last bit of the money that we freed up for free agency might be spent there.

Still don't think we plan to restructure any other contracts because the Joneses have done what they do in free agency, paid for bodies to fill in spots.

Lost vet backup swing tackle (Erving). Brought in backup vet swing tackle (Nysekhe).

Didn't re-sign vet third DE (Aldon Smith). Brought in vet third DE (Basham).

Needed DL help after McCoy and Poe didn't work out last year. Brought in DL help (Urban, Watkins).

Needed to re-sign our perfect long-snapper (Ladouceur). Signed a younger perfect long-snapper (McQuaide).

Lost vet backup linebacker (Thomas) and haven't brought back Lee. Signed starting LB/SS (Neal). Might bring back Lee, but I don't expect it.

Not re-signing starting FS Woods. Signed starting FS Kazee. Also, added backup SS Kearse, which could be looked at as the roster replacement for Thomas as a special teammer and is similar to Neal in that he could play some linebacker.

Starting corner (Awuzie) leaves, nickel corner (Lewis) re-signed. This is the only one where we didn't make an addition to the roster, although since Canady sat out last year, he could be counted as the numbers addition. Most likely, Brown would be looked at as the starter if Dallas doesn't go corner early in the draft.

If that's the case, quarterback is the only spot where we didn't in some way replace what we lost. However, it could be argued that with Dak returning, the roster spot is covered because we added both Gilbert and Rush after losing Prescott.

We did let Ware walk. And Hitchens found a home and Martellus Bennett found several homes. Amendola, our Wes Welker, became Wes Welker for the original Wes Welker team.

Sooner or later we are gonna get one of the Seahawk’s player and he is gonna make the game winning play in the playoffs!

KJ's prime list includes any team willing to make him rich. He's all about money at his age.
