Dallas was tied for 2nd worst when targeted 10 yards or more downfield, along with plenty of other bottom of the league stats. One safety wouldn’t have fixed that and it can’t all be blamed on coaching.

Diggs has upside but to think him and the rest of the jags in this secondary are the best in the NFCE is over rating your own players at its finest.

The safety Im mentioning is also factoring in Surtain. Do I think Surtain, Diggs, Jenkins and Wilson would be the best? Absolutely.

Still gotta shore up the front 7. Haven't had a true 1T since Ferguson, our LB corp is shaky at best and we need more pass rushers to go with Gregory and Lawrence.

So you’re saying we would have the best secondary with a 2nd year player that gave up a lot of big plays and a guy who has never even taken a snap in the NFL?

Never going to convince me, sorry. I don’t buy into a player who has only had one year in the NFL, whether they played good or bad, and I sure as hell don’t automatically crown a CB as one of the best in the division when he hasn’t even played a down in the league.

I think so too. I think it’s more likely Horn at 10.

So if Surtain falls to us is it “we are sooooo good at drafting” or just other teams had bigger needs?

I think it will come down to Denver. If they take a QB Surtain should be there.

by being stupid....oh yeah football....we finally did get Kazee and getting Neal was great...would really love getting both KJ Wright to solidfy linebacking crew and Jarron Reed to solidfy defensive front then on draft day we could just land

whoever we wanted with 10 picks and 2 extra 3rd and 4th rounders...and maybe 2 5ths or 6ths? to equal 10...but if can ge4t KJ and Reed or one of them we will be sitting real good come September...and consider if we had one of those

years in which our team came away healthy during the year and not fall of the cliffs with injuries..also they are going to 17 games this year..with one less practice game....3 vs 4....also my feelings were not hurt letting safety " woods" go

i think our defensive backfield if we can land Surtain or even Horn or even Farley coming off little back surgery....teaming up with Diggs and Brown and the little fighter at 5 foot 10 from Michigan ( brain freeze forgot his name )...and with

Wilson and Kazee and Neal at safety our D backfield will be far better than last year...now we upgrade our D line to stop the run or at least getting rid of that sorry coach Nolan who destroyed our defense attempting to put brand new

difficult defense over Zoom and no practice time was sheer stupidity and to be honest I dont like McCarthey a4t all...i think he will say anything at anytime to sound good and he outright "lies"...enough of that..dang i have posted a book so far

The Draft is an exceedingly analyzed game and, hopefully, our team doesn't lose.
But there are never guarantees.

Even the pro analyzers get much of it wrong.

Tough game.

Would i like a top 5 defense?
Heck yeah, but I also understand that this team won't accomplish that this year. Well, probably not anyway.
However, I think we could possibly get to the 16th -12th best in the league with like you said, an offensive unit that shreds teams.
I'd be happy with that turnaround.
