They are as healthy as Sean Lee.
bingo lol..and every march thru july hes Superman..feels great, healthy yadda yadda yadda. Same with these 2 dudes. The team needs to understand when its time to cut bait or at least begin doing some due diligence.

It has a chance to be the best if Tyron Smith is healthy (big if). The right side should dominate , Collins and Martin is the best duo in the league, imo. Biadaz we'll see what he has and Connor has been average. If one of those two breakout and Smith stays healthy for 15 games...as good as anyone.
disagree 100%. We havent been the best anything in the oline in 3 years now. That gets hyped too much. We been regressing for 3 years. Time to draft a real replacement for Tyron and Collins NOW. I dont wanna see Dak get hurt again.

They can be excellent when healthy and sorely wanting, when they're not.

We'd better draft a promising OT at some advantageous point in the draft.
as I said we haven't been the best anything in the oline in 3 years.

A lot of people are focusing on the health of the OL, but I want to take this a different direction. Let’s say every OL on the team, including depth players, is healthy. How good is our OL?

That's a big if. Our OL hasn't been top 5 since 2016. And Frederick and Leary are replaced by who? And some of our better guys are 5 years older.

So IMO even at full strength I'd say they're top 15 at best. Then again, if our C and LG somehow become really good, that changes everything.

Collins is a young man who was playing near the top of his position before getting hurt in 2020, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

We are getting into the realm of another Dak thread. If we are looking at two Tackles (presumably in the 1st round) how do we ever address the woeful Defense.....Round 3 and hope.

What's the point in signing Dak for $40m per for 4 years if we still have to spend heavily on the O-Line (and retain the Dead Money for Tyron and Collin's contracts).

It's not as if Dak was injured in the pocket because of a O-Line that couldnt protect him.

yep i get it and u are correct. That was just SOME of the issue. Had to mention 4 because its a direct tie in to the topic. What about running the ball? Dont we need tackles that can stay on the field and play well? Not saying we need to invest a high pick. saying we need to look at one SOMEWHERE in this draft and ask some honest questions about Tyron and Collins. I'm not in the "trust Collins" camp so far. for that matter, I am not in the "Tyron is doing great" camp either. The man had neck surgery. Nuff said.

look at it another way, whats the point of not protecting your prize investment properly after you spent top dollar? Even Mahomes needs an oline that is capable. Think of it like that.

Dont get all weird and butt hurt. Its not personal. Look at the facts of his 2020 offseason and what hes been thru..forget his age for now. That is alot for any player to come back from and still be at the top of his game at his position. Its asking a helluva lot. Not knocking the man, just calling out reality here. I have had hip surgery, and had neck surgery as well...while I am not a top athlete, at the time that stuff occurred for me I was relatively young and it changed the course of my life. Just saying we should realistically temper our expectations and do some due diligence.

i think Collins could be gone after 2021.

he has a bad hip and is out of shape.

also, Dallas can cut him after 2021 and save $$$.

they won’t pay a RT mega $$$ who can’t play.

bad hips and football don’t mix well.

Lots of Dallas area media doing puff and fluff pieces and YT vids on how great Collins and Smith are doing right now lol...and while I want them to be fully healthy and ready to roll as the new and improved players we sorely lacked last year, I am tempering my expectations and I hope this FO is too. We should be very concerned if we dont draft a guy somewhere in this draft than can help us at tackle.

I hope they keep the OL as a priority.

we won’t win with a bad OL, or a bad OL coach.

to your point, I hope we can keep MM out of the draft room lol..I rather have Joe Philbin and Quinn in there . The guy(Quinn) is flexible and wants to improve. MM I fear is just a yes man...stubbornly holding on to his beliefs and not looking at the facts. We saw this in spades last year. It made me sick. Everytime he held a post game presser I was spitting mad. The man tried to tell us that what they were doing with the same failed schemes and players was working while we kept getting our ***** handed to us week in week out. Hope I am wrong. but what you said is spot on^..oh and Philbin is fine., he's having to deal with what he is given to work with, and last year it wasn't near good. Give him another tool in his tool box and we will see the oline get better quickly. But folks need to stop it with the hype on the oline being ANYTHING top 10 or whatever. We need to be honest.

I would love to see Creed Humphrey in the second round.

Walker Little is the offensive tackle I want. I think we could get him at a bit of a discount based on circumstances and give him a year (or two) to get acclimated to the pro game before ultimately taking over for Smith at left tackle.

Bad hips and normal human functionality don't mix. Right now I think we can only count on our interior OL, both OT spots need an upgrade or at the very least a contingency plan.

Good but unfortunately, that will not happen. Big Smitty and Collins both have issues and play the most demanding athletic positions on the OL. We keep waiting for Williams to turn the corner and Center is unknown.

The last two things you want with OT's are a bad back or hip. They're rolling the dice with these two that they can even make it through the season.
