No way. Won't leave enough room for advertisement........sad as that is.

Oh, yea, I can see that happening. Someday our grandkids might remember players as "he wore the jersey with the Budweiser logo" or "he wore the Burnham and Lowell Law Firm" jersey..............I wish I could say that I was kidding.

I’ve been calling for this for a long time. Hopefully, it comes to fruition.

NFL may allow defensive backs, linebackers, running backs to wear single-digit numbers

The NFL is considering a rule that won’t necessarily change the game on the field, but will change the way the game looks, and a rule that players have long advocated for: Loosening the restrictions on jersey numbers, including allowing more players to wear single-digit numbers.

Honestly I’m ok with it. See some linebackers wearing a number such as 9 would be cool to see. Cornerback wearing 2. Etc.

I can care less about the number as what the player wearing the number does. Wear 0 for all I care as long as you do well.
Jaylon wore 9 at ND. Maybe if he switches back to 9 he will play like he did in South Bend.

I wouldn’t mind it but I’m more in favor of not going that direction.

I just hope they finally pass the rule that does away with the one helmet rule that has been rumored for 2021 so we can wear the throwbacks again and maybe a white helmet with the color rush unis.

Been like that for almost 30 years longer if you go by the fact helmets had the manufacturers logo on the tab on the back.

The next proposal will be a new rule which allows for a team to get two points if a player puts the ball through a hoop hanging off the cross bar.

Is there nothing to be said for tradition?
