Since FA is pretty much over. And the draft still 4 weeks a way. We should start hearing schedule rumors in the next week or so.
If they stick to the normal way of schedule release, which is probably 3 weeks away. So why not start a schedule thread.

With the added 17th game now, our SOS .444 with a combined record of 120-150, if my spread sheet is correct.
We play 5 playoff games which is the WFT, twice of course. Buccs & Saints, And play the Chiefs as the only AFC team. All on the road except the home game with WFT. However are the Saints still a playoff contender without Drew.

Home:
Giants, FT, Eagles, Broncos, Raiders, Falcons, Panthers, Cardinals

Away:
Giants, FT, Eagles, Chiefs, Chargers, Saints, Buccaneers, Vikings, Patriots

Any guess on the 1st game? :lmao:

What a posh schedule. If we cant win at least 10 games with a healthy squad we need to just mail it in.

I hope it's the Chiefs or the Bucs. Get em when they may not be in sync yet.

SOS is a joke. so much changes in the NFL from year to year throw in injuries you could have the hardest SOS turn into the easiest.

My first thought was Washington, too. But looking back over the 2010s decade:
2010- @ Commanders
2011- @ Jets
2012- @ Giants
2014- Forty Niners
2018- @ Panthers
2013, 2015 -16 -17, 2019 - Giants
2020- @ Rams
Well I think tv networks have a say in this, they want a game that will get good ratings week 1.
I think the best match up would be KC vs Dallas, sun nite, featuring the 2 highest paid qb's in the nfl.
They have also been the most talked about qb's.

Why is SOS a thing? So many changes from year to year, it's hardly accurate in the pro game.

That 49ers game was a great game.
All of the giants games blend together.

This is true, but it is something still used to determine the draft / waiver wire positioning. As for the actual games played, it really means nothing.
Teams change as we know, from year to year. But some fans will still use this for their agenda and narrative. Both for positives and negatives.
However, it is almost as useless as beating winning teams. Most winning teams schedule ends up playing losing teams. Only in here is it used to determine a QB's abilities.

Beating winning teams only matters in the playoffs. If we beat 12 losing teams, but yet are in the playoffs, does it matter? Then win a few playoff games, then it really does not matter.

It will be the Patriots to open the season.
or New England. Play them while it's still warm

Yes one of these 2, Chiefs or Patriots, or a road game against one of the NFCE teams. It gets a potential cold weather road game out of the way.
Or any combination of 3 of these teams in the 1st 6 to 8 weeks. This give only 2 cold weather games in December.

I hope/think we open at Tampa or the Patriots. I don’t want to play either team late in the season.

Not afraid at all.
However, they are more acclimated to being in cold, than players from the South.
Just as northern teams hate to play out doors in Texas (but that is not an issue anymore) or South Florida.

When I lived in South Florida, the Patriot fans, as well as other teams, hated to open in September in Miami. GB rarely ever opened in TB when they were in the same division, but, dang, TB seemed to play in GB a lot late in the season.

Its not a thing it isn't like Dallas or any NFL team is like Alabama that gets to chose how they play out of conference. SOS moniker is joke outside the 6 games against your division rivals, 4 against a predetermined NFC division, 4 against a pre-determined AFC division, there are now 3 games based on how you did previous season.

It is a mental thing, a good HC would have his team ready for any bad weather game, and your always going to have some of those.
Even players who grew up in the north might not play well in a cold weather game, and some southern players might play good in cold or rain.

but I dont think current dallas players would not do well in any cold or rainy game.

The League & the Networks know ALL fans will be tuned in NFL Kickoff Weekend - from opening TNF featuring the Champions, through the MNF doubleheader.
I predict they will save the Cowboys games against the Bucs, Chiefs, and Pats until the middle third of the season - October and November - and they will all be nationally televised broadcasts = Sunday afternoon late games on CBS or FOX, NBC SNF, ESPN MNF....maybe even making one of them on Thursday night.
JMO - will reply when the schedule is announced in May. (I think they wait until after the draft.)
