Surtain. However, Parsons could end up being very, very good. His instincts aren’t that far off and physically he’s special.

Would be curious how many defensive players the Cowboys would grade as first rounders. I would think Surtain for sure with Horn and Parsons as other possibilities. Everyone else is a maybe. Farley might have a first round grade but they probably wouldn't take him in the first round.

Could be one of many but jaycee horn has ALL the attributes to be a top lock down corner.
Speed, aggression, athleticism, size, ID like to see him have more INTS but he breaks up lots of passes it seems

Size, strength, pass-rushing skills, quickness, high motor, disruptor/game-wrecker, and athleticism.
Played completely healthy last year at Miami.

More important, plays the most vital defensive position that causes maximum havoc, and damage to QB's, and offensive coordinators.

Jaelan Phillips.

And could very well be there at pick 44.

Surtain is the safest but Parsons fits the bill as top defensive guy.

Admittedly I didn't go to the link yet, nor do I follow college football anymore but I've seen clips of Surtain getting beat deep, and frankly he looks slower than Pitts. As of right now I would not be happy if he's the pick at 10. I'd rather trade down.

Marc Ross: Most of the top defensive players in this draft class come with some glaring concerns. But not Patrick Surtain II. He checks all the boxes of a potential perennial Pro Bowler on and off the field: pedigree, physical talent, production and intelligence, just to name a few. It's really hard to identify a legitimate flaw in his game, which sets the Alabama cornerback apart from the rest of the field.

No, it sets Parsons apart.

Phillips might turn out to be very good. I would like him between 20 and 44.

Who knows? I bet that it won't be the first defensive player taken.
