March Madness is the best 3 weekends of sports every year for me. It rarely disappoints and certainly didn’t this year with another absolutely classic last night .

UCLA made one of the best runs we’ve ever seen in tournament history and it took one of hbe greatest miracle shots by the #1 team to knock them out.

No other vehicle provides an opportunity like the NCAA tournament to sleigh dragons.

Long live March Madness!!!!!!!!!

Men's basketball final four tends to be a lot better than the football final 4 playoff. I love this tournament.

Now I am rooting for Baylor to beat Gonzaga. They seem to be less cocky and annoying.

Not often that in a 68 team tourney you end up with the top two teams.

I missed virtually everything this tourney but I got these 2 right because they were just flat out dominant all year.
Going to be fun to watch these two.
If Baylor is hot form outside this could go either way but if not Zags will blow the doors off the joint.

Yup. Same here. I've climbed from 51% in the ESPN standing in round 2 to 91% headed into tonight. Not bad considering I didn't watch a single game all year and only followed along through website box scores. I have Gonzaga winning it, but think Baylor is looking tougher to beat at the moment.

I am def not up to 91%. Missed too much early but these 2 were money.
I have Zags winning it fwiw.

Not that it matters as
I am out of my money bracket.

Looks like the Heels are hiring Hubert Davis
Super guy and Tar Heel through and through.
But no HC experience so they are putting their neck out there a bit.

I'm guessing that they let Roy make the choice.

I think it’s an underwhelming choice. From what I have heard is the AD((Bubba Cunningham) wanted to go outside the family and get experienced Head Coach.

They could've gone younger, in the family, and experienced as a head coach: UNC-Greensboro's head coach (Wes Miller) played for Williams' 2005 championship team. Miller has won 185 games in 10 years as head coach at UNCG, and had them in the tourney this year as conference champs (regular season and tournament).

Yep
I think it came down to those two....if they stayed "in-house"
Ideally, he would've had Head Coaching experience

Otherwise, he checks every box
  • Great College Career while playing under Dean Smith
  • 12 year Pro Career, so he gets that side of it
  • UNC's top current recruiter and players love him
  • 9 year assistant under Williams and ran many of the practices. Had HC offers but stayed

This Ohio boy, working in Pennsylvania, was given a chance by a Baylor grad when he was wet behind the ears. That man who took a chance on me, now retired, gave me a great career opportunity leading to early retirement, so my choice was easy tonight.

Sic 'em, Bears. Finish them!

Gonzaga showed me all I needed to know Saturday, once again posers from the weak West Coast conference. Won a couple hundred dollars tonight, and my old friend is happy. My only regret is that I didn't bet more on the Bears. Well done, Baylor.

The Zags looked spent from the semis

either way, Baylor smoked them

I am very happy as an IU fan that Gonzaga lost.

I got back what I lost Saturday plus more. I wish I bet more too.

Various:
Gratz to Baylor. Best thing to happen in Waco since they started letting women wear pants on campus.
Hubert Davis will be great at UNC. He's going to play really well in living rooms and he'll modernize the program.
Tech hired Mark Adams which was option A and they moved quickly to keep a lot of guys on campus.
Tech is set to remain a tourney team.

I’m driving to Waco this morning to load up on National Championship gear and memorabilia.
