Na to Tony not delivering in high stakes games?
Ill put it like this

If you believe the failures of this team during the Romo era, were solely/mostly on him, then you are wrong.

He delivered perfectly fine against Detroit and GB in his last two playoff games. His teammates let him down as usual

Have no issue with it. It’s not like anyone that wore 9 before him was a HOF guy or anything. Let him have it if he wants it. 88 needs to be retired though.

Hard to retire numbers, especially in the 80s, but opening up the single digits to more players would help with that. I would prefer that 88 not get handed out.

Although I'm a fan of Romo, I do agree that we should only "retire" numbers of Hall of Famers. Plus, with a defensive player wanting to wear it, it didn't even make me think of Romo at first. It's kind of different when 88 keeps getting passed from receiver to receiver.

To me, it would kind of like when we've had defensive backs wear 33. I don't generally think of Dorsett when I see them, but I would if we had a running back in 33.

Retiring numbers is stupid anyway. I'm a Romo fan but if ******* Jaylon thinks he can play better wearing 9, go for it.

Nothing is ever 100% on a single player, but Romo often seemed to make critical mistakes in big games, particularly early on his career that stayed with him.

Give him 9 and make him earn it. Because one day he will eclipse the previous player who wore 9 in tackle production.

I doubt #9 gets retired but it is likely too soon for Jerry to let someone else wear that number.

I mean come on. He didn’t leave a good legacy here. Low playoff win count. Bobble snap.
I liked Tony but it’s not like #8 or #22.

let him wear 9 .. no biggie

I'm giving an opinion of what I think Jerry feels about anyone wearing 9 just a couple years after Romo's retirement. Personally I do not care if anyone wears 9.

It says something about the reduced horizons. You can win 2 playoff games and people want to retire your number.

He can wear 9, 8, 12 or any other number on another team. Get rid of this jag...

So he wants to disrespect the team that took a chance on him and drafted him even knowing he might not play well after that surgery. They gave him a number that was worn by fantastic players before him and it's not good enough for him?

He's not that good. He's not bad, but he celebrates when he shouldn't. He should focus on the game instead of his business and doesn't. He's unlikable. I can't wait for this guy to be an Ex-Cowboy.

No not at all. You’re completely wrong. I already explained..but you ignored...he’s a great story that you should cheer for...college stud, horrific injury, comeback story. I said it above. I never said anything about him while he rehabbed or was coming back. I was excited for him. But I enjoyed his first year back. My issue is he seems to be regressing while branding himself more. It’s not that hard. Zeke I don’t dislike. Just want him to live up to being a top guy. Pretty simple but you keep labeling me.
I didn’t ignore it I said you’d still have a issue with Jaylon even if he did swipe...am I wrong? If he played poorly you’d be ok with him just as long as he didn’t swipe?
