I was in a BBQ restaurant in Newport News, Virginia yesterday with the family. When I got up to go to the bathroom, I saw in the corner a signed and framed Bobby Carpenter jersey. It was the biggest "what the hell?" moment I've had in a while. I can only hope that the owner of the restaurant is somehow related to Carpenter. That's the only logical reason I can see for having that questionable piece of wall art around.
Did it make you crap your pants?

BTW wasn't he 54? So Howley, White, Carpenter, Smith...the tradition continues! Can't forget the great Darren Hambrick too...
Darren Hambrick, lol, what do voluntary mean? It means unemployment if you don't do it.

Did you ask if you could use it for a napkin? If not, that’s on you.

Since it was framed behind glass, that would have presented a problem. The best I could have hoped for was to borrow a sharpie and write "draft bust" on the glass.

Was it next to a Kareem Larimore signed jersey?

I live in New England. We have all sorts of Signed jerseys in restaurants . Does it matter the quality of the player. In my opinion absolutely not. I judge a football player by attitude first. Camaraderie locker room presence. Then I’ll judge how he does on the field. That’s how you win a championship. That’s why patriots have done so well. This is a team sport do your job. Yeah he was a bust for us. But that’s not the point

Thought you were going to say they use it as a tablecloth or made it into throwaway napkins.
He said he was in the bathroom when he saw it.
Must have been the reusable towel.

Should've had a Lance Rentzel jersey next to it held up with a pair of suspenders.
