Consider that all of those were late 4th round to 7th, so basically the old 5th round to what would been 8th round picks.
Not surprised at the misses at all. 3 of 9 is actually not bad as they all contribute. Well, D. Wilson could if they played him more.

Very few teams get franchise players, much less franchise record breaking cap breakers like Dak with a Comp pick,, if you do you are extremely lucky, so I dont understand your point.
I think you are deliberately being a contrarian so you don't have to admit the Cowboys have done a terrible job using their comp picks. Only 1 in 9 is of any significance. That's simple English but you want to split hairs and qualify each pick with degrees of good or bad. You understand perfectly well that Dak is the only player they used a comp pick on that really ending up really mattering. But if you want to pretend Donovan and Cedrick were game-changers you just go right ahead. Everyone else here knows better. Your BS isn't fooling anyone.

If you look at where those picks were made it's hard to knock them. Outside of Dak, I *think* Mike White as a 5th rounder was the highest
I think they could have done better so pardon me for having a different opinion.

They all do not need to be game changers to be a successful late round pick. Just contribute and do what you are supposed to do. It all helps to change the game as a team.
So far both Wilson’s have.
I will take that in later round picks.

Too bad many do not understand that concept.
As usual many on here want a super star in every signing even a FA. Or else Jerry sucks so they will whine.

That's your opinion. I disagree.

You can make the same list for every NFL team for the 1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round, 4th Round, 5th Round, 6th Round and 7th Round.

There will be more misses then great picks for every team. Not sure what the purpose of this thread is. Every team misses on picks where ever they pick.

I guess one thing you can say is that if you pass on a quality FA because you are afraid you might lose a comp pick you have, that's probably not wise. Or if you sign a bunch of JAGs to one year deals instead of bringing in a good player on a longer term deal with the hopes of turning those JAGs into a couple of later round comp picks, that's probably not wise either.

I guess my rather mundane disagreement was too harsh for you, honestly thought you could handle someone having a different opinion without getting worked up

Its kinda gray, because Michael Jackson was a regular 5th rounder. However we got that pick trading down from our 4th round comp pick.

So if you want count Jackson, he would higher than White

He wasnt a comp pick, but he was the pick we got for trading out of our comp 4th that year

But that one hit is off the charts crazy good.
When you consider the skins gave up 3 number ones for bust RG3 for example.
I concede your point about Dak being crazy good, especially for a 4th round pick. But I still think we should have done better with 9 picks. Maybe I'm just greedy or have unrealistic expectations.
