Who Is Your "X-Factor" This Season?

Who is the one guy who could change the outlook of our season?

For me it's Vander Esch, he showed how good he could be in his rookie season and having a true MLB thumper on the squad would be huge. A healthy LVE is the most important part of this defense to me.

So what say you?

Very good choice. If our DL doesn't crap the bed, and LVE can stay healthy, I agree 100%. I'd also like to nominate Randy Gregory as a possible major disruptor in a contract year. And of course, Dak.

the x factor needs to be the oline and dline. Both of those units. We will go as they do. If we stay healthy and are improved, Dak will stay healthy and the team has a chance. Its not any 1 player IMO. We have to learn how to win playing down and dirty in the trenches. That is Cowboy football. If Tampa can do it, we can.

I totally believe a rookie could become a leader. It’s about attitude as much as performance. People still don’t get that

If I were to have my choice of an X factor for next year, it would be some rookie defensive player becoming the stud leader of the defense.

I could buy that....just depends on what the coaches ask of him. So far the last 2 dopes had no clue what to do with him.

Mike McCarthy

if hes not the difference in this team taking a giant leap to a NFC title game then its time to find a new coach

his handprint is all over the team and has been given as much say as Parcells in how the team is structured

get us there

This times infinity and beyond. And for all those screaming to draft Surtain, you can have a secondary full of Deion's but if the opposing QB has all day to throw you're gonna lose.

If this front 7 don't get to the QB, it's a loss.

Unless DLaw, Gregory and friends morph into the Steel Curtain its gonna be more of the same as the last quarter century's performance.

I mean really all they need is
2 plug and play d linemen in the Chase Young talent class,
2 Ray Lewis Lbs
And an Ed Reed safety.

We've already got Surtain at corner so need there.

We draft like that and its ON!

Absolutely no problem whatsoever with this Front Office's historically impressive defensive choices.

I have full confidence. Lol, :)

If we don’t draft someone at 1 Tech, it might be Urban.

I got to go with the obvious here.

Tad

His tweets are the only reason the NFL is still relevant.

Hands down Quinn.

His impact on 3rd down could be huge. Nothing worse than letting them convert 3rd and long. I know you'll scold me for it, but I'd often leave the room on 3rd down, because it was so frustrating. Lol

I’m not so sure even if this OL is entirely healthy it is a top 10 unit. We better start fixing the trenches.

I’d say Gregory has a real chance to be it. He finally is out of his suspension-loop nightmare and will actually have a normal offseason where he can just work like anyone else.

He was already good when he played but he should be noticeably better with some sense of NFL normalcy.

Plus, he plays at a position that can easily have an impact on the game.

Hopefully, the Cowboys pick at 10 can have an impact as well, like Lamb did. A very good rookie coming in and playing well can change things for the better... as we’ve seen before. In 2014 Zack Martin solidified the OL and made it a strength, propelling Dallas to a division win and the divisional playoffs. Dak and Zeke did the same thing in 2016.

a good rookie (or rookies) can help change the fortunes of a team quickly.

Zeke, establish a run threat, a lot will open up. On defense, starts up front for me. D law, randy, t hill our pass rush and run stop performance. We need more 3 and out!

Dak. Not even kidding. Recovering from a major surgery and signed an even bigger contract. A lot to live up to.
It's this and nothing else. Jerry's put all his eggs in Dak's basket so we are all in for good or bad...
