I did a mock on a simulator and Surtain was off the board. I then chose Horn at 10. When the Dallas 2nd round pick came Farley was still available and I selected him.

Just a question. Already having Diggs and drafting Horn, was it smart to draft Farley, or a waste of draft capital? Dallas hasn't had the best of luck with 2nd round selections with question marks.

The rest of the draft was
CB Horn
CB Farley
DT Nixon
OT Little
S Cisco
OG Banks
S Thompson
WR Fehoko
LB McDuffie
LB Britt

It wasn’t even “smart” to reach for Horn at 10 and equally not “smart” to take Farley at 44

These were the first nine players selected
Lawrence
Wilson
Fields
Lance
Sewell
Pitts
Chase
Slater
Surtain

The next five players after Horn were
Darrisaw
Smith
Parsons
Jones
Waddle

I won't draft any of those players over Horn.

CB is a money 5 postion, so I wouldn't say its ever a bad idea to get good value at that spot

Both Horn & Farley can play in the slot so it would potentially be an awesome group.

I think I would be happy with that draft. Would be able to move Brown or Lewis.

My top 5 available based on your draft:

1) D. Smith (Absolutely Uncoverable)
2) M. Parsons (Best fit for need + Defense)
3) Barmore (Best DT + Super need)
4) Darrisaw (I Like him better than Slater)
5) Horn (Best CB available)
6) Moehrig (Best Safety in the Class)

I'd say Dallas is in good hands.

I'd also expect a trade-down if the draft plays out like this.
Too much defensive talent available 5-10 picks later (Bears or Patriots moving up for Mac Jones).

DING DING DING!!
Winner winner chicken dinner.
Follow the money, and that's where you should typically.
QB, LT, DE, WR, and CB are all money positions which if you are drafting in the top 15 you should focus on. Now obviously if there is someone like a Donald or a Pitts you make the exception.

I think Horn is a really good player at a position that; 1, Dallas needs, and 2, is a premium position.

I’d say that was a good choice.

At pick 44, I’d say I probably wouldn’t have taken Farley because other positions will need more help once Horn is picked.

Someone like Alim McNeil, Levi Onwuzurike, or Even Brevin Jordan, TE would be better to help another part of the team.

If I was completely sold on Farley, I might feel differently but I had a few questions about him even before his most recent surgery.
