The FO is notorious for handing out large contracts to average players.. But which one can you say he was or is worth every penny. To me its either Martin or Tyron...
Any contract that is "team friendly" is the WORST contract.
Millionaires should not be doing favors for billionaires.
Especially billionaires whose team value goes up every year without wining ANYTHING!
Since Jimmy Johnson influence left the building....the architects of this franchise have won 3 playoff games in 25 years!!!!!
For comparisons sake, the Bucaneers won more playoff games last year than Dallas has won in the last 25 years combined!!!

IMHO part of the problem with this team is the idea that anybody on a massive deal can be your best contract. Best case scenario on massive deals is that you get what you paid for. What teams really need are contracts that you get more than what you paid for. These are almost non existent around here. Leary was a good example of a truly good contract. Glover from way back was a great contract. Most of your best contracts are rookie deals. A main part of the insanity of the zeke deal is that he still had 2 years left on a good contract and Jerry tears it up.

worst one is dak all the clauses favor him, money favors him, no team friendly language..all the others noted that we know about all have a lot of team flexibility in them..but i agree the OL are best value..

He's a 22 million dollar cap hit this year. He'll more than likely be an 18 million dollar cap hit next year. Regardless of what favors him, to fans, that's team friendly. Right now it looks ugly for 2023, but we don't know what the salary cap will be. Jerry may have timed and structured this contract very well. But that remains to be seen.

Jerry didn't tear it up. He still had to play out those two years.

What happens after those 2 years? I suppose Jerry is so old it doesn't really matter.

I like the 2025 cap hit of 13 million. That is after the contract has already expired. Can't wait for them to push some more money down the road and call it team friendly.

With this team the "good contracts" are typically the ones the player had befor they signed their "bad contract".

It will be a 48 million cap hit. But remember, he's trying to time it with the cap spike. Like I said, how well that turns out remains to be seen.
