Was clicking around and watched FS1 for about 3 minutes, but I had to turn it. Cowherd was pontificating on Tom Brady’s noble sacrifices—taking less money and being the get along guy in his quest to be the best. He might make less per year than several QBs, but he still makes MILLIONS! Add many millions more in endorsements, PLUS the multimillionaire status of his wife, and you have a mega rich superstar who can comfortably afford to be “noble”. Journalists have become pitchmen for corporate profiteers and advocates for the entitled. Turn the channel!
The sad thing is that so many here believe in the Brady ultimate sacrifice in regards to Dak.

Preconceived notions?!? I gave my opinion on yet another con job. You talk like Cowherd’s your hero, and you have to defend him! Why is he above reproach? Overall, I like Cowherd. He’s smart, and has some well thought out takes on things. But I wasn’t talking about politics, I was talking about apologists stumping for entitled athletes. A multimillionaire can certainly afford to enable “team friendly” deals, especially when the good PR results in extra income AND more team success.

I just tire of the nonstop fawning, of “experts” trying to sell the masses on the nobility of those blue collar tweakers.
Cowturd is @kskboys hero.

Tom Brady is very cool and calculating. He figured out early on that by taking about 10% less he can milk it as being noble, team leader, etc for his entire career.

He is VERY smart.

Stick all this noble stuff where the sun does not shine.

I have a love/hate thing with Cowherd. While I love many of his takes—fearless and outside the box—he’s such a complete ***** when it comes to attention and ratings. Yeah, yeah yeah, he’s smart, but his nonstop bagging on the Cowboys gets tiring. He knows painting them as the ultimate dumpster fire is a bestseller, so his relentless rants have become too predictable. His show is three hours of “Lebron Love”, “Kudos to Goat Boy Tom”, “The Cowboys Suck”, “One other story” (trendiest buzz), stuck between too many commercials, rinse and repeat....

Then turn the TV off...

Being married to a super model, who happens to be worth $400 million, is a rough gig. Nice of ol' Tom to take one for the team.

Any team in professional sports would value a player with the attributes of Brady. I don't get all the hate for this guy. He is the consummate professional. What I am truly glad about is that Jerry didn't draft him. Jones would have completely wasted his talent and we would not have witnessed the evolution of the GOAT.

How do you feel about long snappers making millions?

Don’t hate Brady! Don’t hate Cowherd! Just hate Cowherd’s pontificating on Brady’s “noble” acceptance of 50 million instead of 60 million! Understand?

So how would Jerry have “completely wasted his talent”?

and has no shot at multiple Lombardis.

If you really believe that, why not go root for some other team? What’s the point of making yourself miserable rooting for fools and losers? Not being facetious, just curious!

So petty.

You haven't seen much Cowboys football the past two decades I guess? What could you have possibly seen the last 20 years in Dallas that would make you think Brady would have had anywhere near the same level of success as in N.E.?

I am perfectly content rooting for the Cowboys the past half century. It's been a big part of who I am and the new football season always provides a nuance of hope for a better outcome than than the previous year.

Don't confuse my irritability over your petulant whining with not loving my Cowboys.

1)I’ve seen a lot of Cowboys football, going back to the late 60’s, and no, I’m not happy about the last 20+ years, but what can any of us do? I simply prefer to remain upbeat and optimistic about my team’s future.
2)Once again, I’m not “hating” on Brady OR Cowherd. I like and respect both. I just roll my eyes at the narrative he keeps pushing regarding Brady’s nobility. It’s easy to smile and be agreeable when you’re the GOAT and mega-wealthy doing something you love, married to a mega-wealthy model.
3)Would Brady have multiple rings if he were in Dallas? Of course not. He was lucky enough to land on a team with the GOAT coach, and the perfect storm combo was the foundation for a dynasty. But a great player remains a great player, like Megatron on the Lions. Look at all the great QBs with no rings—Marino, Tarkenton, Fouts, etc.
4)Why is my irritation over Cowherd’s nonstop fawning over Brady’s “nobility” labeled “petulant whining”? Aren’t you “petulantly whining” about an opinion that doesn’t jibe with yours? Why am I being “petty” for debating, and you’re not?

It’s hard to read true intent on the internet, because we can’t hear word inflection. No malice on my end, Dude! I’m just talking, asking questions, reaching for clarity.
