Started watching "Cursed" on Netflix. It is the same sort of plot as "The Witcher" only with a short chubby chick as the lead hero. What's with all this plots with female leads in action stories? I can see if the female actress is athletic, a little muscular and over 5 feet tall but "Cursed" has an actress who is clearly a little on the portly side and not very athletic at all play the lead role. Of course it is a fantasy so we can imagine this slow, clumsy, plump warrior defeating big, muscular, athletic men in battle, right? I will reserve judgement until I finish the series, but I think they studios need to get back to producing their shows without regard to the cultural nonsense our society has become obsessed with. It's getting boring.

I agree. Also nice to see him in his comic book costume when he dawn the mask:

And great to hear a MCU character say "Baron Zemo," just like "Scarlet Witch."

When asked about his dancing in an interview, Daniel Brühl said, "there's more."

BTW, I caught some of Game of Thrones season 1 on HBO and I remember why I was attracted to the show when it first aired. What a great series, story, and characters. But I could also see how the show went down hill after the first couple of seasons. At the time, killing off the main characters in a show, especially in the first seasons, was revolutionary. But as the seasons wore on, killing off all the characters led to the demise of the series. The final year of GoT had to be one of the most disappointing in the history of TV. The final episode was a disaster equaled only by the final season and episode of the Sopranos.

Ratings wise, GoT didn't lose steam, actually picked it up as each season progressed, like Breaking Bad did. I was in both fan camps so I don't know which was worse but the Throners could get over the top faster on a Monday morning. Both programs had one thing in common for me, I had to watch each episode as it premiered the last seasons, avoiding spoilers was impossible. My News Director at my stations was beyond a Throner. He was at work at 5am every weekday but he had watched the previous night's episode at least 3 times before he came to work. Time shifting it would have been cruel and unusual punishment for him because he just couldn't keep it to himself.

I am in season 2 now. I was a little worried it would be unfinished. So many series are left hanging because of COVID delays in filming. 2022 could be filled with new seasons for a lot of shows.

The series did not deviate too far from the book in the first season, although as you might expect taking a lengthy book to a TV series is going to require some modifications. But the HBO series began to deviate more I think in the next seasons. Of course at the end there was no book to convert to a series so the HBO writers had to work from a rough outline. Martin was brilliant with the first book, but the story seemed rushed at the end of the series. I think they definitely rushed the end of the series. I know some people loved it and some hated it. I was i the later category.

But I would love to see a spinoff featuring Arya's journeys.
