Would you do a trade-back with the Eagles?

NFL Draft rumors: Eagles trying to jump Giants for Jaylen Waddle?
Philadelphia moved from No. 6 to No. 12, and may now be trying to move up again

True but you have to think you may not be helping them as much as they think.

If they are parting with a second, amd considering there no real perfect looking match at 10, you do the deal in a minute.

Dallas and Philly gave made several draft day deals over the years actually.

I have a feeling both NY and Phil come out of round one with a stud WR....regardless of what we do or don't do.

They arent exactly rare anymore.

No, we have nothing to gain by helping them. I have a bad feeling they will trade up to get in front of us in the draft.

:facepalm: At the guys trying to do a “fair” trade

You’re trading to your rival for a potentially great WR. No way do I do it for less than their 1 and 2

If the Cowboys knew for sure wr would be the pick for both teams it would basically be a free pick since I doubt the Cowboys are looking at receiver. But if Eagles and Giants both take corner then it would be an L.
Dude, the team will actually tell you who they are trading up for.

Seriously? We moved from 12 to 6 for Claiborne for our 2nd rounder. Nobody's paying more than (or even) a second-rounder to go from 12 to 10.

In '19, the Steelers went from 20 to 10 with their 2nd-rounder (#52) and a future 3rd-rounder. No way Philly is giving us #37 to move up two spots. If they do, you take it.

You certainly could be correct but we are talking about 3 divisional teams with picks right in a row. Not only are you dealing with a division rival but you are attempting to jump ahead of another division rival. That spells OVERPAY if ever there was one.

Sure.

Depends on what the price is. If Philly was dumb and gave us their 2nd round pick to move up 2 spots, hell yeah, I'd make that trade.

I think the overpay would be the 70th pick. There's little chance you could get their 2nd rounder. But if they did go stupid and offer the 2nd rounder, Dallas would be fools not to take it.

That's the first I've heard of that but even then it still could be an issue depending if Surtain is already gone and the Cowboys want Horn. On its face that seems like information a team wouldn't want anyone else to know. If both teams want that player you just talked yourself out of getting the trade by giving them information. And then even if they tell you I'm sure it isn't binding in any way so they can just pick whoever they want once the trade is done.

If there wanting to jump each other
Offer ten and 115 for there 1st and 2nd
Then talk to the Pat's once A or B trade is done and offer
12 and 99 for 15 and there 2nd.
Leaving Dallas with 15
3 2nd rounders a 3rd and 4th a 5th 2 6ths and a 7th.

If dallas can't fill in the proper holes with that kinda capitol IDK what they can do

Of course they'll tell you who they're trading up for, especially if you're only going down a couple picks: you won't make the trade if they're going to take away one of your targets.

And of course they won't lie about it. You're going to be negotiating deals far into the future, you don't burn bridges like that. And every other owner and GM in the league would know about it instantly.

Yes, for drop 2 spots, I would take a 3rd in a heartbeat, unless Pitts, Sewell or Surtain are available

Seriously, why?

Let's say Surtain and Horn are there at 10, and the Cowboys have them ranked basically the same. Why would they not take a pick from Philly (say #84, which is a fair trade) so that Philly can take Waddle? The Cowboys get their guy, and Waddle was going to end up with the Eagles or Giants anyway. Why would you not make that deal? And why would the Eagles' status as a division rival matter in the least?

If you're looking at a clear BPA at 10, then it would take a lot more to get you to trade out of that spot, but again, why would the division rivalry matter?
