Well, well, well. Seems "mistaken identity" was to blame all along. Nothing to do with Donald's pockets being the deepest, I'm sure. Something tells me this thread isn't going to be as long as that first one that was posted.

@Reality, can we have the other thread back to look at all the hot takes and people who were "so sure" Donald was guilty? I need toilet time entertainment, lol.

The thing that is laughable about this whole situation is.... people take *** whippings every weekend at a club somewhere in the country. I dont know how involved AD was in this melee, but if he was a manager of McDonald's, or a delivery driver for FedEx, the victim of the *** whipping wouldn't have lawyered up and DEFINITELY wouldn't be standing at a podium.

These broke *** money grabbers are hilarious man. These athletes and celebrities really need to be careful out here. Too many broke *** males and females are out here looking for handouts and come-ups. Men are willing to take an *** whippings by picking fights and acting tougher than usual or women having turkey baster or pin holed condom babies.... for the gold digging sluuuts, they will also toss in a bogus rape or aggravated assault charge if the previous tactics don't work.

It was not the media's narrative, but the narrative of the lawsuit that was filed against him.

And if the media took any time to investigate the claims, they would have found out is was all wrong but as usual, they're not interested in journalism, just a narrative.

A man who mistakenly accused Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald of assaulting him at a Pittsburgh club last weekend issued an apology Friday.

DeVincent Spriggs’ attorney told CBS affiliate KDKA-TV that his client wants to apologize to the 29-year-old reigning NFL defensive player of the year for accusing him of carrying out the assault.

Yes and by Friday they reported the updated claim. The fact that he was being sued was the story. So they reported what was the story and the claim and then also reported the response once it happened. There was nothing irresponsible about the reporting in this case. The lawsuit was the story.

So as it turns out, there was no story now was there.... the only reason it was reported was because, he's a high NFL profile athlete( that's the narrative) nothing more..

This was a quick money grab. It’s awful, because all this does is shed doubt on real abuse victims’ claims.

This video doesn't prove anything. This video starts AFTER the altercation started. It also contradicts an eye witness at the start of the altercation that didn't know either of them and said Donald first struck Spriggs.

So Goodell was corrupt, then found Jesus when it came to Crawford, and is now a coward. The "theories" you hear around here are certainly curious.
You don't listen well. Construe what others say into things they did not say. I never said anything about Jesus. I don't know what your issue is. Maybe you just like to argue and be a contrarian. All I know is I'm done with you. Welcome to my ignore list. Bye.

Exactly why it was reported and exactly it was a story. The fact that the allegation was false does not mean that someone making such an allegation was not a story. It does not mean that the top defender in the NFL being accused of a gang beating in a lawsuit is not a story. The story was reported as "he is being sued and this is what the attorney is claiming" and then within two days they added "the attorney is now apologizing in light of new evidence". In all honesty no one was irresponsible here. This was a legitimate news story that was reported as such.

Someone looking for a pay day most likely. Now normally, I'd say that the person falsely accusing someone should face a punishment, but here, I think because the guy is on the ground getting pummeled (at least from what I can see), I guess it's possible that he was confused and thought Donald was the one who was beating him.

Essentially the video lines up with my initial gut feel on the incident. Guy recognizes Donald.. figures he can start some ____ with him maybe cause Donald to swing on him, take a light one off the chin in exchange for a large settlement figure. When Donald doesn't oblige, he pushes his luck, to the point where Donald's "boys" determine he needs to be taught a lesson. Thinking that Donald must have landed a punch or two (everybody else did) the ****** calls up a lawyer and starts concocting a story and counting his money. Only he didn't count on video coming out proving him to be a lying sack of doo doo. I'm glad for Donald that the video came out but I am more glad for football players in general. Too many people want us to be mindless Neanderthals who are a hair trigger from beating the snot out of anybody who crosses our path.. Sure some guys are just that.. but most are good dudes who are just trying to make it through life..

Donald should sue the guy. Set an example. Charles Barkley an I used to hit the town and this happened a few times.

Power move there, bro. Lol. All that contorting yourself to avoid admitting the other poster had an excellent point about Crawford in the face of your "bank on it" proclamation of Donald being suspended and Goodell being "out to get the Cowboys" narrative to boot.

Everybody wants easy money nowadays. Problem is any one can accuse a player of something and that alone will mess up their lives, just by saying it

Is this a joke....What was Crawford’s suspension? And violence isn’t all bad, sports are violent, If Donald tackled a kid about to be hit by a bus, are we asking for a suspension because the tackle was violent.
In today's world? Absolutely!
