Pitts, Fields/Lance on the board. Chicago offers us 20 and 2022 1st rounder. What are you doing? Taking Pitts still or trading down and if a trade down who do you take?

I would be so back and forth here but to know I could possibly get a top 5 pick in 2022 I have to trade down and hope Barmore gets to 20.

If Pitts or Sewell are there, I take em. Yes, the D will not be improved by my first selection— BUT the rebuild on D will take 3 years anyway.

Get the generational talent on your roster and figure out how to improve other positions throughout the draft process. The value on defense is rounds 2-4 anyway.

Pittts and Sewell will be gone by 6
Probably, but you just never know. Atlanta is taking calls for #4, which would mean someone trades up for another QB. I think CIN takes one of either Pitts/Sewell, which leaves MIA. They traded back up to #6, so you have to assume they did that to get an elite offensive weapon. The question is, will they take Pitts or Chase if both are still there? Regardless, I don't see Pitts or Sewell falling to 10. I Dallas will have to trade up to get one of them.

In this scenario, taking Pitts. I could not pass up on a generational type of player for more picks.

Im talking a 2022 first hands down. Opens up so many possibilities for you in 2022. Puts a guy like Derek Stingley on the table for you

If I'm dropping from 10 to 20, I'd want much more than just an extra first next year. Regardless of the value chart, if there's a generational player sitting there, I'd want much more. Maybe 20th this year, a 3rd this year, coupled with a 1st and 4th in 2022.

I'm not passing up a player that looks like they could rewrite how the position is played for an extra pick next year. I'm going to want a ransom.

@Zekeats I highly, highly doubt Pitts and Fields will be there at 10. Assuming the stars line up for a once in a billion scenario, I would not take that trade. a) I would take Pitts in a second, and b) I would probably have 20 better offers than your hypothetical Bears’ offer.

Pass up on a potential all-pro player for the sake of extra picks? No.

To be fair, there are potential All-Pro picks in the 7th round, too. Although mathematically, I like the odds of 3 picks at potential All-Pro players in the top 50.

As Stephen stated it would have to be our good fortune of someone falling and that would be Sewell or Pitts. Otherwise it’s defense we’re taking.

We dont need Pitts, I would never take him unless NO one was there and we couldnt trade back.

EASY EASY call. Take the #1 and trade back. And yah, Barmore would be incredible.

Yeah, kind of. It would have to be such an enourmous trade that no one in their right mind would turn it down. I can't imagine anyone offering it, either. But if some GM would insane and offered up something llike that, then I'd move.

Pass up on a potential all-pro player for the sake of extra picks? No.

EVERY player at 10 is potential pro bowler. Pro bowl TE's average around 800 yards and 8 TD's per year.

Kelce, who is putting up all world numbers for a TE averages around 1200 yards and 8 TD's per year. TE is the #1 most bust position in all of the draft. You would HAVE TO design your offense around the TE for the pick to be worth it and he would have to put up 1200 yards and 10-12 TD's per year to live up to the 10th pick. You would be better off taking one of the WR's if you wanted receiving. For all intense and purposes Pitts is really just a 6-6 WR. In that light, I probably take Chase and the Heisman winner over him.

But since we already have 3 great WR's on our squad and 2 capable TE's the pick makes little sense. Especially since our defense gave up the most rushing yards and passing TD's in Cowboys history. 31st in the NFL against the run.
