A QB running for his life can't effectively have a passing game.
Pass rush/pocket collapsing/run stuffing over a defensive backfield full of pro bowlers.

I would rather
If the cowboys were forced to draft only defensive lineman with the first 4 picks or only defensive backs with the first 4 picks which one would impact the team the most, make the team better and bring us more wins?
Dline!! This Dline couldn't stop the run or push the pocket last year and adding DBs won't help. The very first thing a defense needs to do is take away the other teams running game and than pressure the QB. Stopping the run creates more 3rd and long and pressuring the QB creates more mistakes.

I'll take a shot

No trades
R1P10 Barmore

R2P44 Payton Turner
Any of these if they fell
Jaelan Phillips
Azeez Ojulari
Kwitty Paye
Jason Oweh

R3P75 Milton Williams

R3P99 Chris Rumph or Bobby Brown
I’m in love with Rousseau and not in a gay way. I think he’s a David Irving clone.

The good news is we aren't restricted to stupid crap like only being able to pick one or the other. I hate this hypothetical BS which has no relation to reality.
It’s not about actually drafting just one position for the first four rounds it’s about making a point that we should emphasize/prioritize the defensive line more than defensive backs because it’s so important to pressure the QB and stop the run.

For me, this is an easy question to answer.

Good DLs makes everyone behind them better. Good DBs do not make everyone in front of them better.
