Is this a strong QB class or just a case of teams needing QB?

I continue to hear 5 QB going early in the draft yet when I look at these QB in my opinion I see 2 maybe 3 1st rd QB the rest I see as 2nd rd. Seems to me this years crop of QB are a bit overrated or at the very least teams who are just in real need of QB help.

I got strong with superstar upside.

You got 4 dual threats and dual threats are just taking over this league and not busting like they used to because of all these spread offenses.

Mac Jones... He's got everything except being super mobile and a big arm. He's my QB 5 but his game probably translates better than anyone elses to the Pro's.

I love this QB class.

Whoever goes to San Fran is going to blow up too and smash this league.

Would've been a great year to kick Dak to Chicago and get a similar player for much cheaper.

If you see 2-3 legit 1st rounders....not based on position, but as a real prospect::::that IS a good QB class

I see 2 I like in rd 1 but the rest Maybe late 1st into the 2nd rd. Lawrence of course being the top pick in the draft.

This class could have 1-2 standouts or it could go 7 deep with eventual starters.

I see why the 4 others projected in the 1st are intriguing. They could all bust or semi-bust, they all have pro bowl potential too in the right setting.

Lawrence is no doubt legit

Fields has the talent and resume of a legit top 5 QB talent in my eyes. I think there’s a chance he ends up the DeShaun Watson of this class (sans legal trouble) if he isn’t the 3rd qb taken.

There’s no denying Wilson’s arm talent. A little risky, but I think he has a Jay Cutler potential at least. Maybe more of a top 10 pick than top 2.

Lance is more of a 2nd round gamble given so little playing time. But he’s also a much better prospect than Jordan Love, so I guess in reality he’s more of a top 20 pick.

Jones is a 3rd/4th round talent you hope turns into Kirk Cousins in the absolute best case scenario

I would take Mond ahead of Jones...2nd/3rd round pick that has the talent to turn into a solid system qb if he goes to the right spot. More experience and slightly better tools than Jones

Don’t get the Trask love...maybe as a 4th rounder you hope to be a solid backup in a year or 2.

Davis Mills is a total wildcard. Big time talent coming out of high school but only started 11 games in college. Probably a huge learning curve and needs to sit for 2 years, but I could see why a team would gamble in the 2nd or 3rd if they have an older established starter already.

Yeah I’d say definitely better than most qb draft classes

its a case of teams wanting QBs...chances of them all working out is very very low. about 80% of first round QBs fail in the NFL....this year will be no different, although many will swear by this guy or that guy

It's a strong class, certainly stronger than 2016.

Will all 5 succeed? Doubt it because it is just as important the situation the rookie is put into. That was the best thing Prescott had going for him and the same for Marino and Rothliesberger, although they were 1st rounders. But they were not in the top 5.

Lawrence and Wilson will be playing for bad teams, SF is in the best division and the QB with the best chance for early success will go to NE.

There are still ?'s about Darnold, Goff and Wentz and they were all top picks in their drafts. Is Tua going to make it in MIA? How about Jones in NY and Hurts in PHL?

The bottom line is every GM has to keep taking QB's until he finds his. Even if he has to do it every 2 years, they have to find out fast, not many teams like GB grooming QB's. In fact, none but them.

I don't think this QB class is stronger than in any years past. I just think we are in a period where a number of QBs are hitting retirement age. Brees is gone, both Mannings, Rivers.. Going back a couple of years.. Romo, Luck.. Then throw in the fact that that second contract on QBs is So damn expensive if teams don't think they got the right guy they're quicker to move on rather than make a 100 million dollar mistake.
