I didnt see many mocks that both Corners are taken before we pick but there is talk that the Panthers would love to grab Horn.

Than theres a chance the Broncos could also take a CB. Its one of their biggest needs. Lions too (well they need basically everything).

What would we do in that scenario? It likely means that one of the tackles Slater or Sewell is available and theres a chance that LB Parsons is on the board too.

I personally would trade down with a QB needy teams if theres still one of the projected Top QBs on the board.

I think if they trade down they will target Trevon Moehrig S or Zaven Collins LB.

i think if that happens and we trade down I think Moehrig would be (and should be) the target. I’m not sure the FO sees LB as big a need as I do and Moehrig may help at two positions.

If both corners are gone then we take Sewell or Slater, in that order, and reinforce our Oline with a blue chip prospect. People can continue to downplay Oline because a OT/OG is not a sexy pick, but they are some of the most impactful picks you can make and our Oline has nothing but question marks surround it besides Zach Martin. We can find a good corner in the 2nd or 3rd round. Especially in this years draft. Day 2 is packed full of good corners.

On ESPN they had a reporters draft and I was shocked to see that Carolina drafted Farley. The Carolina reporter seemed confident that the Panthers loved Farley and were ok with his back. I think it was a trade back scenario with the Patriots because Fields fell all the way to 15. They could not make any trades in this mock draft scenario. Maybe the Cowboys would do the same thing if Surtain/Horne were taken before 10. As I said before Farley’s back injury was the worst thing that could have happened to the Cowboys for this draft.

Yeah a trade down if they would take Zaven but everyone seems to say they love him and see him as a LB who could also be a pass rusher.

There will be higher rated players that drop then. You can either take them or have a great trade chip. If for some reason they deal, yes Collins/Moehrig are their two prime targets.

7/8 picks are in play, but one pick to most likely for a team wanting a QB. One corner will likely be there at 10 at the worst. If not, then we either have Sewell or Slater fall into their laps, both would be excellent selections.

yeah I’ve read that too, not sure if they are correct or not though. I like Jamin Davis a lot more as well as Jabril Cox. Both are good in coverage too and finding the ball. Any LB can blitz, not many can cover.

Restart the franchise mode.

I would take Parsons/Davis at LB
Or figure out what the hell Collins is doing and figure out real fast if he can be a 4-3LB or not.

Or trade down

I’d take Sewell or Slater (in that order) and be happy to still get one of the top two offensive linemen in this draft.

Trading down would possibly add another starter in the draft. Depending how they're ranked and who's left possible picks could be Barmore, Moehrig, Davis, Collins, Newsome, Darrisaw, Vera-Tucker, Jenkins.

Anything can happen, no one saw Lamb dropping to 17 last draft.

BPA is a myth, teams don't use that, they fill needs and in the NFL, when aren't CB's needed? Horn and Surtain are considered worthy high 1st rounders as Farley would have been. All 3 would have gone in the top 15 and some team might still take a chance on Farley as some had him as the top CB.

If the 2 CBs are gone and 4 QB's, Pitts, Chase and Sewell, that leaves Slater, Waddle or Parsons or trade out for a team wanting that 5th QB.

Waddle and trade Gallup would not surprise me and he is the best PR in this draft and far better than any the Cowboys have or have had since Sanders.

In the mock draft Archer had the Cowboys drafting Horne over Surtain. Archer is very conservative and I think he might know something. I trust him over Fish. I think the Cowboys have a plan to improve their defense this draft. I don’t believe they will take Sewell or Slater at 10 even if both cornerbacks are off the board. I bet think both linemen are at the top of their board but they want to improve the defense. I think the Cowboys believe Parsons is on their level.

If both corners are taken, option 1 should be a trade down where we get another 2nd round pick. Then in the trade down you have some options depending on how far you slid - Barmore, JOK, Moehrig, maybe Newsome. The 2nd level of OTs is in play too such as Darrisaw.

If you can't move down then hope Sewell is there at 10. Or worst case, just take Slater or Parsons. All are players you could use.

I don't think Parsons is in play at 10 under any circumstance. Collins is their #1 LB. It was been reported by multiple insiders that the Cowboys are divided on which corner to take. It's very possible they view Horn higher than Surtain. Do believe they take a Tackle if their corner targets are off the board, unless a trade is too good to refuse. They are blinking light prospects and the value drops off the cliff after the top 12.
