Due to the uncertainty around Gregory I think DE is a bigger need than being talked about...not to mention you can't have too many of these dudes.

I love Ojulari and Phillips, but baring a trade down think they'll be out of play.

When looking at options in round 2 it's a really interesting group and a different flavor for everyone. Would you take a DE in round 2 if we go CB in round 1? How would you rank these dudes and who would you take?

  • Jayson Oweh (all world athlete / poor production - low floor . high ceiling type)
  • Greg Rousseau (mediocre athlete / strong production / great length - young age with room to grow)
  • Boogie Basham (mediocre athlete / strong production / good technique - higher floor, lower ceiling)
  • Payton Turner (strong athlete / great length / good production / - good mix of ceiling and floor)

cowboys should a target high floor, high motor, hard worker, "over achiever" lunch pail type DE in the 2nd/3rd quit frankly.

basham, ronnie perkins, cameron sample, etc.

get some one u have really good odds will come in and produce for cowboys and u dont have to worry about their attitude or any thing like that even if they have lower ceiling.

u want to draft traits and ceiling do it later.

I wouldn’t draft Oweh anytime before round 4

Perfect comp to Danielle Hunter in my opinion...many people said the same thing about Hunter.

Oweh’s tape shows he has elite ability to beat offensive tackles and the size/athletic combo is full blown freakish. I understand not over drafting him in the 1st, but you absolutely have to consider him at 44.

I agree...there's some risk, but if he hits it's a grand slam.
