Would you trade with Philly or Washington?

The better way to ask this question is would you trade a good player to a rival? And the answer should be not just no but HELL no.. Now if we believe a player is washed then fine.. But if that player is going to be good and help that team kick my butt? No.. not then, not now, not ever.. Applying the same logic to a draft pick.. If there are guys on the board who will help a rival kick by arse for years to come? Hell no I aint trading with them.

Not if Fields is there at 10.

Exactly, in fact I'd be trying to trade down so someone else could take him instead. A franchise QB is one of the few times I wouldn't trade with a division rival. Let em flounder in the muck of being without a QB.

I cannot recall within NFC East (especially Cowboys) doing players for players trade, or even a vet player for trade picks...seems players usually depart/arrive as free agents, due to
some circumstances or another.

its basically has been NFL draft day -picks for picks, trade up/trade down...and I believe its' been primarily with Philly, supposedly the
most loathed, most hated NFC East rival.

Ironically we seem to have road blocks when it comes to dealing with trades with a few other NFL teams ... such as Seattle.
But when it comes to the NFL draft,.. we seem to deal with Philly in trade picks to move up/or down rounds, than any other NFL team.

I never seem to hear about us the Cowboys making NFL draft day trade picks with NY Giants, ..and I cannot recall the last time we dealt trade picks on draft day with Washington.

Fwiw, my two pennies...

Yes, I absolutely would, but with the caveat that the standard is slightly higher that I am convinced it's a trade that the Cowboys win.

It's not good enough to say "well it's a win-win," as might otherwise be the case in other trades.

If our NFC East Divisional rivals Philly Eagles or Washington Football Team called Cowboys to trade up to get a player of their choice, would you still be interested in accepting a trade with either one of them for the 10th overall pick, ..if their offered trade packages were sweet enough ?

- WFT could likely try to make a swing for a Trey Lance should he fall to 10th overall. And it will be
a bidding war with other NFL teams for a legit starting young QB

- Philly currently slated 12th overall in 1st round

- Washington currently slated 19th overall in `1st round

And we've actually traded within our division, if i'm not mistaken, we made a trade with Philly just last year's draft to move up a few spots to get center Tyler Biadasz at the bottom of the 4th round.
Yeah why not? I just wouldn't want to trade with Baltimore as I know I would lose that trade.

If there's a QB on board I'm trading with anyone not in our division that's between 10-20.

Only way I trade with Washington is if they throw Daron Payne or Chase young into the mix, if not screw you. I'm not doing business with Philly so they can take the CB I want

Only if we can extract the division rival tax when making any such deal!

Remember when the Eagles traded McNabb to the Ratscums which raised all manner of eyebrows at the time until we watched McNabb play that one season? Beyond that I cannot recall any trades within the division of note other than a draft day maneuver here and there. But I feel fairly confident that NO NFC East team has ever traded first round picks to an other NFC team to help them get a great player. It makes ZERO sense to do so. For me to even pick up the phone the bidding would start at 3 #1s and go up from there.

I would if we could rob them blind. If Washington wants to go from 19 to 10 they'd better give us their 51 and 74 picks and maybe a 2022 choice as well.

I'd love to pick 19, 44, 51, 74, 75, and 99 in the first three rounds.

Hey @RonnieT24 , the admins removed our discussion. Unfortunately you never got to answer my question or maybe never even saw it.
I stated that that signing Dak was a mistake that will haunt us for the next few years. I will admit I was wrong if Dak takes us to a SB over the next few years, which he never will.
We already got the best years out of him that we were going to get.
My big question for you is when will you deem the Dak resigning a failure? We are headed down Philly, Rams, Ravens, Sam Bradford path, Kirk Cousins path. Overpaying, actually making a good player the highest paid player in the league.
