A lot of you are acting like we just drafted the second coming of Bobby Carpenter. In the words of my friends from the Valley, tranquilo mi amigos. Did we get the CB we all wanted, no. I called it last night after Surtain went off the board the Boys would trade down. I figured with Minnesota or the Chargers and NOT a division opponent, but hey, not my decision. Maybe the eagles offer was better. Maybe the Vikings were only offering a 4th.

The point is, we all just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. We can be critical of the pick AFTER Parsons sees the field and how he performs, because I promise NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU, said Dak was going to be our future franchise QB when he was drafted in 2016. Just goes to show how much we as fans don't know jack ****.

To people complaining about the trade with Philly, that WR was going in the division either way and right now the Giants have a better offense. In many ways it was good strategy to let Philly get him and pick up an extra 3rd round pick that now a division opponent can't use.

Yeah, the way folks (including Dallas media) are acting like Parsons is some second rate bum is laughable.

I would have preferred a cornerback because it would have filled an immediate need at starter.

That said, we can’t control the way the board unfolds or force a trade.

Between Parsons and Slater I go Parsons every time. OG is not a position of need and I do not see him as a an OT. Parsons will be an impact player whether he starts or not his rookie season.

Excuse you, young man. I said neither Pitts or Surtain would fall to us and was doubted. And then that's exactly what happened.

I knew top corners never make it out of the top 10 but we had the opportunity to snatch the best tackle in the draft. They should have traded down with the Bears and snatch the top Safety or the CB from Virginia Tech. We do things backwards.

No problem with Parsons, but I cannot get over the lack of quality players picked up in FA. Pathetic. Carlos Watkins? Brent Urban? Yikes.

The difference is carpenter was drafted for his bloodline and parsons was drafted for his talent

I don’t think anyone can question the talent of Parsons. Guy is a stud. The issue is drafting an off ball LB early when you have the Prancer getting big bucks and you spent a high pick on another dummy LB that can’t stay healthy. They are all the same player. Something has to give. Hopefully it’s cutting that Brand Builder so we can at least have some identity on defense. Then you cut bait with 55 next season unless he absolutely balls out. That better be the plan.

Can’t trade up for Surtain. Just can’t.

What you see doesn't matter, Slater is a natural tackle like every scout has already said. Parsons is a project like Jason Williams was in 2009. A linebacker with top speed that could rush the passer.

And if the Cowboys drafted Slater you'd be *****ing that they didn't take Parsons.
