We've been saying it for months, upgrading the pass rush is more important than the secondary (which is also important). Even the best CBs can't cover forever. Quinn's defensive scheme is predicated on making the QB get rid of the ball early.
This is not the draft to upgrade the pass rush
Every team seen that and they went after the only other option
Upgrade the coverage

Unless you can get the best linebacker in the draft. They mentioned his natural pass rush skills and DPR ability in the presser which I enjoyed more than usual. Add to that an additional pick in the top 100 and his playmaking ability against the run and I'm thrilled with the pick. Parsons has almost instant acceleration.

I like him and think he fits a cover 3 scheme well.

Also, Kelvin Joseph has a ton of talent.

There is a ton of good corners available but I think Dallas wants taller guys.

Out of all the talent left? Who's the best in your opinion?

I haven’t watched enough of these guys to give a good opinion.

I think the TCU safety would be a slam dunk for us at pick 44 if he is there.

Anyone else I’d have to watch more of.

I think Kelvin Joseph or Melefonwu are good looking corners for our scheme.

Ive heard Kelvin Joseph is difficult to deal with.

The NFL really gets serious about domestic violence or guns
He’s accused of threatening a woman with a gun and getting physical with her
I saw that story but I only saw it on rumor sites I had no idea that stuff was true. Haven't heard anything about it.

Damn I'm a little bummed, was hoping to have both sides on lock.

Anyone still left for the 2nd round? At least a decent safety?

I don't think our next starting corner is on the roster.

Glad we have Tre, buy we need more help back there
I would have liked one if the two...but it's ok...

On defense to you need to build inside out...if no pass rush no amount of good CB play can hold...

Plus our run defense sucked. We need to bolster the front 7......and this was going to be a two year process anyway

I think some of you re going to be a bit disappointed to find it may be Brown. He's not Deion to be sure but he's no worse than Awuzi . The CB that is drafted may very well be for depth and not a starter right away but i could be wrong. In fact part of me hope I am

Maybe theres a vet out there that comes in here just not sure.

Round 2 will be interesting as will 3.

I don't know. Who's going to play next to DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory? Why doesn't that concern you?

If the Cowboys were going to start two cornerbacks the quality of Antwaun Woods and Trysten Hill we'd have to put you on Valium.
Don't worry. The best defenses in football rely on coverage sacks. You can throw anyone on the line as long as you have multiple highly rated corners. The Doomsday Defense and the 90s Cowboys defenses was all corner back play. No HOF players on the line what so ever.

We got Diggs at 51 in the 2nd. We will have a chance at a top tier CB at 44 tonight or we may even jump up a little. Going by the chart, we could give up the 3rd we got from Philly and couple that with 44 and move all the way up to 1st pick tonight, it would be a slight over pay per point value but if we want to get out guy, it might be worth it, still have our 2 picks in the 3rd or we could use the Comp pick number 99 and move up around 4 or 5 spots prob.
