Not sure why this is confusing to Fish. Two or more things can be equally true: 1) Parsons could have been the Cowboys top-rated defensive player; 2) they viewed CB as a more critical position of need; and 3) they could have viewed the drop off in talent steeper at CB than LB which is why they may have explored trading up to 6.

Wow that would have been an ugly trade. I love Horne but Stephen above all people should have known how burnt we got on the Claiborne trade.

Now that I think that dealing UP for a corner may have been a possibility, I'm that much more happy about dealing DOWN for Parsons.

I mean, is there any doubt we need someone who can fly around and make plays?

They need to put some beef in front of him but I believe they will today and tomorrow

Curious on if the Dolphins would of done that deal. They were set on Waddle. Not sure if they thought a team 7-9 could of nabbed him.

Drafting for need and allowing the press' (read rabble-rousers) innuendos (read Jane Slater stating the corners would be gone before ten) to cause geriatric Jerry to want to toss out several draft chits to go get a less quality valued player.

Either the Dolphins wanted too much
Cooler heads in the Dallas war room prevailed
Or Jerry had to make a Johnny Walker Blue run and the deal fell through
Or a combination of the three.

Because we have Dallas Fans are never happy with anyone. Guys is just trying to make a living and he get rebuffed constantly for no reason besides trying to work and provide some insight into the front off. Kind of childish if you ask me. Yeah that's interesting.

IIRC they gave up next years one to Philly to take Waddle over DSmith.

Don't know that I would have done that, but they must see a huge difference.

Plus they have picks to burn thanks to Bill O Brien lol.
