They would have won back-to-back Super Bowls if Pete Carroll didn't try to prove how 'brilliant' he was/is..............

Here's another thought. Supposing these players were even kept "in check", how much can we attribute to Quinn?

I always thought the HC was the ultimate authoritarian on a team. Positional coaches lay out discipline and set the tone in the NFL?

Not a fair question.............Everyone isn't borderline Ivy League type material ; Lawrence Taylor is perhaps the greatest defensive player I ever saw.

Stanford wouldn't have ever even entertained the thought of offering him a scholarship......................

Or how is a guy who has played a total of 20 college games and played for 2 different schools during that time period due to immaturity and work ethic comparable to either Sherman or Thomas.

Pretty aure the owner of the Seahawks also didn’t coddle and protect his players by not letting the coaches so their job, which includes discipline and/or punishment.

Then you have the Buddy Ryan's that challenges the chain of command from time to time

In fairness to Parsons, it sounds like he was a good student. But the OP is about how Quinn managed red flag guys in Seattle. And one of the players listed was basically the hall monitor.

Just saying....

Quinn had Pete Carroll who is one of the most beloved (by players) coaches in the NFL. This dude gets way too much credit for sleeping the the house Carroll built.
