Strictly as a football player he is exactly what you hope to get in the 2nd round. I wanted Moehrig but maybe his reported back issues made him not an option.

The team is really throwing me for a loop. I would've thought these two dudes would be off the board.

What a change--taking a chance on talent that have some questions surrounding them

Small play sample, but good production VS good competition. Has the preq skills and traits to be a good starting CB. It comes down to maturity with him. Kind of a boom or bust

Definitely boom or bust.

This kid makes Parsons look like a choir boy.

Dude has played a grand total of 15 college football games. Cornerback already has a steep learning curve for even the most talented corners coming out. When you haven't had the reps in college and try to transition to the NFL against the crème de la crème......could be ugly.

Ya, even if he straightens out Im not penciling him as a 2021 starter. I just hope fans temper their immedidate expectations

Bit of a surprise pick here for me.

The talent definitely warrants the pick but does come with some off the field history.

- 6'1, 4.34 40 at pro day (so likely 4.4 athlete)
- 4 INT in SEC tied for league leader
- 0 catches allowed against Alabama

Not the guy I would've taken, but if the FO did their homework on he's a legit top 50 talent. Heard some say 1st round caliber talent.
I saw 5’11 3/5

As talented a CB as there is in this class. Would have been gone by talent alone. Get this kid on the right track & he's a steal at 44.

OK, let's split the difference and call him 6'0.
I’m cool with it because we have diggs. One corner for the speedsters and One forthe big guys. I just hope diggs doesn’t regress. It happens with every corner. Chido looked good as a rookie abs regressed as a second year guy. A brown did too.

He ran a 4.28 on his pro-day. I know we can throw the numbers out, but a 4.28 is certainly better than a 4.48. I think he was the best CB on the board at 44. I like the pick. I thought his off-field issues were in the past. He is also a young kid.

I really didn't know anything about Joseph other than that he crushed his Pro Day, so I went back and did my homework.

The good news: Those Pro Day numbers are for real. He's a legit stud athlete: long (he looks taller than 5'11"), really really fast, pretty fluid for his size, great ball skills. #1 corner material. He played Alabama and was handling his business one on one with Devonta Smith.

The bad news: Dude's attitude just freaking sucks. His attitude towards tackling is CJ Henderson-esque. He'll go and ole a runner or dive at a guy's feet every time; he wants nothing to do with contact. He supposedly got kicked out of LSU for failing a drug test (probably not the first one either if they're kicking him out). He quit on Kentucky with two games to go. He's played a total of like 20 college games because he just keeps bailing on teams. He commits stupid personal fouls. The word that showed up again and again on his scouting reports was "immature", and I think that's perfect. He just doesn't handle adversity.

The guy just screams "mental bust" to me. We've seen how many guys come into the league with star level talent, and wash because they just didn't have any discipline or motivation to be a pro. Joseph just so visibly lacks those. I get why McCarthy and co spent a pick on him, but I wouldn't have. Joseph reminds me of so much of Taco. Taco had at least enough talent to play in the NFL, but he struggled as a rook b/c he was a one year wonder without much college experience, he got frustrated, the team benched him, he mentally checked out, and now I think he's out of the league. I can see Joseph going down that EXACT SAME road. Gets off to a rocky start, no toughness to recover, can't transfer off an NFL team, maybe you can quit on one anyway....

He's 5'11 1'2 . He's still 20, so theres a chance he grows more. I like complimenting diggs with a speed guy. He's going to be tasked with stopping smith for the next 4 years or more.

In addition...Joseph offers some position flex as he's also a rapper.

Youtube BossmanFat...you're welcome

Hahaha I just found some of his videos earlier. He makes pretty good music. I like it at least.
He doesn't really have a following though.

Baton Rouge has made a name for themselves in the rap scene. NBA Youngboy is from that town.
Scotty Cain. There have been many rappers murdered from that town also, Gee Money.

I'm not sure what all of the off field speculations are with him? However, just knowing the Baton Rouge rap
scene, and Joseph dropping albums, well it could be part of the concern.

I picked him in the 5th round earlier on the mock! Lol

He's got first round talent, the character concerns had PFF mocks drafts drop him almost every time. Kid is immature but not a drug addict or anything like that.
We'll see how he pans out.
