Big narrative on here that Joseph is a complete headcase.

I don't know the guy but it's important to say the other side of the story.

The guys on the draft show are pretty adamant that he's just a guy with multiple interests. He has a music career. There's questions about if he'll focus on the NFL or get distracted with his music interests. The questions aren't about him being a basket case or a bad person.

You believe what you want, im not going to try to convince anyone of anything. I don't know him. But it's worth noting that people I trust a lot more than random posters on here are not describing him as a character concern.

So in going with the voices on the Draft Show, I really don't care if he has a life outside of football. Good for him. Sounds good for his mental health. If he stops showing up to work then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Whole lotta comments on the threads about how Joseph is a basket case

Not a lot going on in the thread saying that reliable sources wouldn't call him that kind of concern

Hmm

He’s a kid and acts like one. He’ll still be 20 when the season starts. Hopefully he can grow up fast enough to help us next season. Highly questionable.

LOL.......Yah, because they NEVER sing about that!!!

Sure they do. Just like every other genre.

But it's not all they sing about. Just like every other genre.

Stop talking about things you don't actually know about.

I just want to point out that you consider it a character concern because he likes music genres that you don't like. Do you realize how silly that sounds?

If you listen to his raps it’s clear it will not pose a threat to his football career.

I couldn't care less about his rapping. My only concern is that he shows up to practice and can get along with team mates and coaches. If he does that we are golden.

And no, rap doesn't fascinate about that. Listen dude, you've clearly never listened to rap. You're working off a dumb and wrong stereotype. Be careful, you're close to saying the quiet parts out loud.

Did you know that famous rapper Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for the poetic masterpiece that was his 3rd major production album "DAMN."?

Of course you didn't.

“Kelvin is a good young man, appreciate what he did for us. He didn’t — I don’t know how to phrase it, it’s really an odd conversation to be honest with you. He didn’t want to opt out, but he didn’t want to play this week. Didn’t want to risk injury, I said, “That’s understandable, but that’s not how we’re going to do it.” I can’t just have him out there standing around saying, “I’m not playing in this game.” That’s not a good sign. That’s not the way we’re going to do it here at Kentucky.”

I don’t know the guy. Never heard of him before he was picked. That story bugs me. Stoops reads like he's being magnanimous if not disingenuous. He opted out a few days after turning 20 because he didn’t want to get hurt before the draft. Arguably shrewd because his stock was high, but not something I'd want in a teammate.

Saw he was suspended for a Fiesta Bowl when at LSU for violating team rules. Not sure if that was ever expounded on.

There may be more out there. But those 2 stories aren't flattering. Hope he plays well and doesn't quit when things get tough.
