You don’t win championships paying Dak’s like they are elite.

I’d rather go this route and if it doesn’t work out then draft another.

The Dak experiment was foolish and we’ll win nothing.

But Dallas is the last to figure things like this out and like their fan base they still build their team and think football is played like it was in 1992.
Man, I hate fans like you....nothing personal. Salud!
I'm sure you hate fans like me, too.

Hindsight is 20/20 but since Fields was available at 10 does it make overpaying Dak look worse? They could have given Dak the franchise tag and maybe trade him after drafting Fields.

At least 3 out of the 5 QBs taken will be a bust. So no, I would stick with Dak.

OSU here. Dak better thrower. Fields better runner. Right now Dak is a better quarterback by far. Fields has a lot of upside but Dak still has room also to move up and get better. In the end we know what we've got in Dak. Fields is an unknown at this time. Wish him GREAT luck though:thumbup:

Put your kool-aid and rose colored glasses down you blind fanatic. Nothing has changed in the last 25 years.
:lmao: We just drafted 11 players and will sign a few UDFAs. You don't know if some of these prospects will pan out or not. Save your blanket statements for someone that's buying your BS. ;)

they didnt overpay Dak

a starting qb that has a winning record over his career is going to be paid and if we didnt pay him a team like Washington, Denver and maybe SF wouldve thrown more at him than we did

and who knows what Fields will be.......Dak has proved he can play and win games already

If Jerry had a crystal ball and knew that Fields and Jones both would be available at 10 I guarantee he would not have buckled and gave Dak a contract that he didn't deserve.

Explain to me again exactly what he has won at any level, outside of fleecing Jerry.
A QB that's most recent full season was 8-8 is considered a winner by the once proud Dallas Cowboys fan base.

Add in a broken leg and empty stats the next season and they have their new Romo. The lovable loser that has never won anything at any level. The "winner".

Can you imagine the excitement, optimism and energy that a 1st round QB would bring to the franchise.

Instead we have same old...........

I was wondering when this post was coming. I will say this if the Cowboys were going to move on from Dak they would have traded him for multiple first round picks. They would have had to move to four because as soon as the chatter that the Cowboys wanted a quarterback got out there, all hell would have broke loose. The reality is that it would have never happened. It is more likely that the Packers or Seattle trade Rodgers or Russ.
