If you want the player that is fine, but dude you could have had him rounds later, why not just trade down or draft BPA.

One more note. This reminds me of the year when we drafted 3 CBs... in rounds 2, 4, and 6... with character-trouble player in the 4th but lots of talk about hope and potential. That draft produced poor results on the field. This draft is feeling like a similar desperate approach
Goodrich, Ross and Edwards ...... bad draft. Throwing numbers at our secondary problem

I'd bet a decent amount of money that Jerry accidentally drafted the wrong guy here.

Exactly.
I get it, they think they know something everyone else doesn't, so use a 5th or 6th on him since most had him as an UDFA.
But to use a 3rd on him with the players that were on the board, headscrathcher.
Personally I'm shocked that Browning and Cox were on the board (Cox still is).
I like Parsons, just not with a pick as high as 12. I actually had Bolton and Cox pretty close to him, and Bolton went #58 and Cox is still on the board. Browning too, dude is a prototypical new NFL Will LB. He can cover like a safety and he hits hard.
Also, I'm on the left coast, a UCLA grad so I watch a lot of Pac 12 games, and Molden stood out like a man among boys in the conference. He was just one of those guys you knew was going to play on Sundays. Wright I never really even noticed, and I'm all for finding guys like that, but why use a day 2 pick when you could have had him on day 3?

Quinn built the legion of boom and Quinn went to OSU's proday to see this kid. I will hold judgement and trust in Quinn on this.

That all makes sense but he could have easily gotten this kid in the 5th - 6th Round without doing anything: That is the problem here.

I think we've got him ranked as a FS which is why his cb rankings are so low.

Sounds like a great kid . . . student of the game.

Sounds Humble, passionate and Hungry

I like him

I like alot of people too but I wouldn't draft them to play CB for the Dallas Cowboys until after MAYBE the 4th RD.

That's fair enough. . . but there is no guarantee he would be there . . . just ask all the teams that were waiting till round 5 to draft him

Quinn did nothing of the sort
In Seattle everything went through Carroll. He’s the one who built that defense.

Seriously. this narrative that "Quinn built the Legion of Boom".
Quinn was an assistant coach, of the Dline, in Seattle in 2009-2010.
He then left to take a job with Florida 2011-2012, returning as DC in 2013.
Thomas and Chancellor were drafted in 2010, while Quinn was the Dline coach.
Sherman and Maxwell were drafted in 2011, while Quinn was in Florida.
Quinn returned to the Seahawks in 2013 as DC, when they set records and won the super bowl.
Props for coaching a great unit, but he hardly "built" the Legion of Boom.

This was the weirdest and biggest reach of our draft so far ( And I am ok with our draft so far). If we would of wasted a 5th rounder on him I would be ok. But a 3rd rounder on him???? Yes it was a late 3rd but I am sure their where a lot better players on the board. I believe Elijah Molden and Ifeatu Melifonwu were picked right after we picked Wright. I am sure the Lions and Titans was happy we reached for Wright. Wright seem to have good instincts though. I just don't think he was worth a 3rd.

its was a collective effort Richard, Quinn, and Carroll all played big roles but since they all split up and players retired where all that genius ion defense from carroll? facts are the Seahawks defense was nearly as bad as ours last year..kudos to the caroll i bow to the genius..

this is why when you split up Jimmy, Jerry and our entire staff it goes downhill, wasnt just Jimmy guys it was the collectives effort of all of them..none were as successful apart as together..

if fans are blind to the lightening in the bottle concept when great team like one with dynasty moniker are attaches its collectives effort..you start messing with that balance , and it starts declining quickly..

I will say I loved his secret audio last night when he got the call. Have no doubt the kid will come in and play his best, the key is will his best be enough?

Still think he might be more natural at FS.

Height, speed, tackling, and great moves to the ball for INTs.
Dallas is listing him as a DB. Maybe with that speed, height, and playmaking, maybe Dallas will play Kazee this year and develop this kid as a FS.

In his videos, he seems to have great vision, anticipation, and burst to the ball when in the air.

People lie about that so bad. Quinn came in 2013 after Richard had already worked with Sherman and co. Thats why its funny people give Quinn more credit than Richard when its absolutely false. When seattle started making the playoffs in 2012 Quinn was NOT a seattle coach

Some had a 4th round grade on him so it’s not a certain that he could have been had late. And the teams know a ton more than the media does. There’s a reason that the guys that are talking about the draft are talking about the draft and not actually drafting.

I’m not defending the pick. But for “analysts” to have said they’ve never heard of a guy that was a Power 5 starter shows they don’t put half the time in that the actual scouts do.
Wait, your saying our arm chair GM’s don’t know near as much as they think???

I thought for sure someone who had never actually saw a kid play, and got their info from a site that never saw the kid play, was the best source of info....
