no.
the lion from mt. nittny will help this defense turn the corner.

diggs/joseph will put the nfc east on lock-down.

osa/golston will run your *** into the ground.

wright at 6'4 is knocking your pass down.

I olike Dane but I dont putb him above the scouting department

My issue is we don’t know if the scouting dept had gaps this big...I saw it on other boards too...or if our draft room just thought we had to grab those guys now.

I know Atlanta wouldn’t do it lol..

But I took that factor out of it and giving a scenario to Cowboys fans.

2009 was the special teams draft. This is the solid player draft.
I have even heard the term "Cap Draft" apparently the Jones were saying we have too many paid deals.

Yeah Stephen did. He said they need as many cheap players as they can get because of these contracts.

Atlanta calls and says Dallas we will give you Kyle Pitts for your entire day 1 and 2 draft picks.

Would you make that trade?
How do you watch this defense last year and even suggest such a thing? Is this schtick with you? I'm so confused....

where was tom brady, tony romo, and Kurt warner on all these boards? many players with the mock so called experts have slipped through the cracks,,they arent the NFL Bible

thats why there are over 100 mock boards from so many sources, its away for fans to follow the draft but in no way does it matter to scouting departments and Gms add in professional coaches..ill trust our coaches and scouts until they all fail
I've never been more annoyed by this "drafted too early" talk in my life. Its the most annoying narrative this draft period. People value a bloggers big board over the Cowboys own board on how they should draft guys....it makes no sense.

This draft was a perfect example of why NOT to take Pitts with the first pick.

Jaelen Phillips is the best defender in this draft.

I’d argue that Parsons isn’t even the best linebacker. Is Dallas supposed to blitz him every play?

Gotta love how you make a thread asking a dumb question hoping people will finally agree with you. Yet they are still laughing in your face.

now your switching gears back to your Phillips nonsense. Phillips looks like a nice talent. It’s just he’s one hit away from retiring over concussions again.

OP thinks real football is like playing Madden lmao

He said “teams should learn to be happy when the opponents hands the ball off” and questioned the need to worry about run defense.

Apparently he didn’t witness the cowboys get bounced from the divisional round 2 years ago because the defense got tuned up for 280+ yards on the ground.

and us lose game after game last season because the defense was giving up 200 yards rushing over and over again.

I mean. I know the NFL has changed over time. But the “running game, running defense” doesn’t matter takes I’ll never agree with.

Wait, so knowing this... would you still trade for Pitts in your scenario?

Because if you would, that takes 4 potential players starters/backups away from a brand new defensive scheme.

exactly,

ill judge the play on the field 1-3 years pans out every draft.

i give this b+ at this point will adjust later..

However It does appear as if we got lot of bodies that can have flex on this defense and fill holes after the competition sorts out whos left standing after OTAs, MCs, TC and preseason. True competition at every position it seems especially LB, DT and DB, should shake out a nice starting role and rotation behind them..

best thing about this draft is it seems we have got speed and aggressive natures in a lot of players..

There was just so much opportunity to do better. We let the 2 CBs get taken in front of us. We passed on the Bears blockbuster deal. We sat back in round 2 and let the patriots scoop us on Barmore with three 3rd round picks sitting in our back pocket.............then we pick a CB with great measurables but inconsistent effort as if we are any good at motivating and maximizing player potential. ........... We take another CB in round 3 who most had a 7th rounder/UDFA.

We don't anticipate the flow of the draft very well or seem to have very little idea what other teams might do. We are literally the dumbest guys in the room every year. Its frustrating.
