What's up with all these WR UDFA signings?

Not like we did much on offense. Doubt we'll be able to rummage a lot of reps for them anyway. We only really have room for 6 WRs as I see it. Atm, the players that should make the roster are Coop, Gallup, Lamb, and Wilson (though, he may be in a camp battle too). Assuming Wilson is a lock for a spot, that leaves 2 available spots. I'd imagine we'll be keeping Fehoko. If he wins the battle for one of the spots given his size and special teams abilities as well, that gives us room for one more WR. It's going to be a tight battle for that one spot. It's good that we're getting a lot of players to battle for that spot. We might get a couple for the practice squad (especially if they keep the rules from last year in place for the PS). Otherwise, many others will be looking for another team/job. That's probably why we have several UDFA signings.

Nice highlight reel. How did he go undrafted?
Same height as Rico Gathers and he is quicker and can catch.
He just may have a bigger 'pet cat' following than Rico Gathers.

If Garrett were still coach, Vasher would make a few plays in practice or in a game and then come down with some mysterious injury and be stashed on the practice squad and never ever heard from again.

I am serious, Vasher makes the coming free agency of Gallup not seem so dire. For that matter, if Gallup is cheaper than Cooper, and Dallas has TJ "Too Tall " Vasher bulking up his frame, the negotiations won't be a problem. His highlight reel is incredible, because he is smooth and shifty at 6'6" How is that possible? We just got a poor mans... er skinny man's Kyle Pitts here.

I'm a red raiders fan so I'm partial to WR Vasher. :)

Thrilled. Seen a lot of Knox. His running style has reminded me of Emmitt, with how he's been able to shed tacklers and not let anyone get a squared-up hit. There have been games for Marshall when he's simply taken over.

Reminds me of Ray Rice.

How the heck did Vasher not get drafted? 6’6 matchup nightmare and he has the best tape of ANY WR in the country bar none....
He and Cox are my favorite picks of this crappy draft.

Draft profile I saw said his work ethic sucks and off field concerns. Benched senior year.

  • WR Brandon Smith, Iowa
  • RB JaQuan Hardy, Tiffin
  • WR T.J. Vasher, Texas Tech
  • LB Anthony Hines, Texas A&M
  • WR Osirus Mitchell, Mississippi State
  • RB Brenden Knox, Marshall
  • TE Artayvious Lynn, TCU
  • OL Braylon Jones, Houston
  • DL Austin Faoliu, Oregon
  • TE Nick Eubanks, Michigan

Quite like the list. Wouldn't mind a couple safeties added though.
