3-4 base with the current personnel? Not sure about that one. Never been a fan of that particular defense.
Dan Quinn mixes in some 3-4 concepts with his base 4-3 personnel.

The SDE and NT have 2 gap responsibilities while the WDE and UT have one gap responsibilities.

The SLB in on the line for a '50' look with the option of rushing of dropping in coverage.

The MLB is between the SDE and NT.

The WLB is behind the UT.

Cowboys were horrible on defense last year. Maybe he's thinking the bar is so low he's bound to win over everyone by being average.

If he can make this D average (like middle-of-the-pack average) and the O stays healthy and cuts down on the TO’s, that alone should make them a playoff teamz

It doesn't start until about 22 minutes in.

The guy sounds pretty smart and is definitely easy to listen to.
Interesting tid bits at the end where he's talking about Osa & Quinton Bohanna. He was saying Quinton is a Nose Tackle who'll line up right over the Center, so maybe we'll see some straight out 3-4 packages.

This was fun to watch! Thanks for posting this video, @Techsass . ;)

One can tell how smart Coach Quinn truly is. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how he shapes our Defense and gets it to play much better.

big worry...we didn’t get any help for the OL in the draft.

passing on slater was a mistake.

I'm actually kind of stoked after hearing him talk. My original take was that Seattle's LOB was all Carroll & the DCs were just Lieutenants.

I know it's a big "if" but if the OL starters can stay healthy they won't need help from the draft. Passing on Slater was a huge disappointment for me as well. Let's just hope OL doesn't become a liability again.

Wasn’t asked to cover often.
He can cover and had some success doing it. He is just raw in coverage.
I do think he will be more valuable blitzing in the passing game and rushing the passer.
Parsons is an animal at rushing the passer. 5 star pass rusher coming out of high school.

Good post. I think Parsons has the speed to do whatever he needs to do. I think he's going to be a great LB.

Can see why players like him. Seems like a good guy and a great communicator. And he’s from NJ so obviously he’s awesome!
