Micah Parson is a combination of Ray Lewis & Von Miller?

According to Lavar Arrington he is. I thought some of you would enjoy this.

Fast forward to 5:30 into the video.

Take it with a grain of salt. Remember Arrington was a Penn State linebacker. I know he spit up in his mouth a little bit when the Cowboys drafted him because of his Commanders ties.

Like the optimism.

Parsons is all around solid as a LB *and* can blitz well. Flex like that opens up what you can do on defense.

You draft a guy at 12, he should be giving you extras like that.

I’m not a fan of the pick until he proves he can cover. If he can’t cover than it’s a wasted pick IMO.

This is just Lavar Arringtons take.

Catch... you keep bringing this up. Like a ton of your posts, but for the life of me I do not understand why you believe a 4.4 guy that has fluid hips and has proven athletic ability will be unable handle coverage from time to time.

Do I isolate him on guys like Tyreek Hill? Of course not. Could he hang with Kelce? I think he can. He also has a sense and sees plays well. Sniffs out screens and misdirection.

I bet by game 8 you will be a big fan.

His hip fluidity and lateral change of direction are actually two of his weaknesses. He's explosive and quick downhill, but his COD leaves something to be desired. He also has very little experience dropping back. As a former DE, this means he probably lacks real instincts or feel for the passing game. If the Cowboys ask him to cover, not only are they negating his strengths, but they're not going to see much better production than Jaylon. At least not for the near future.

Lots of crazy good athletes can't cover for squat. Taylor Mays comes to mind right off the bat.

There is a lot of 4.3 corners with fluid hips that can’t cover..

Covering is a skill.

We can’t just blitz him all the time and that is his best attribute.

What was Lawrence Taylor coming out of college believed to be in coverage? If I recall he played defensive end in college. This is not a post saying Micah is the next LT.
