Some around here were willing to send a 1st a few short years ago. lol I'm more apt to stick with a younger player in this situation, but if Quinn can squeeze anything, I'm OK with that too. What we had wasn't working. Are we still worried about disrupting the locker room at this point? The team is soft to begin with if a 32 year old comes in and effects that. The Ravens overpaid and it ended badly.
At this point in his career he’s not worth the problems
His team mates hated him on two teams plus he’s had domestic issues
Quinn knows him better than we do and I don’t think he even wants him or they would have talked to him before signing two safeties and drafting a couple of guys who may be able to convert
The Georgia kid played safety in HS and some at Georgia
Day one of camp I’d be getting him reps at safety and see if that’s an option

Since he was at UT when I wanted to draft him and had him as my #1 safety over Eric Berry (which was an unpopular opinion at the time).
He’s had an amazing career and was arguable the best when he was in his prime

Look at our options.

I doubt very seriously he’s washed up. A safety can usually play into their mid 30s.

Darren Woodson played until he was like 35 and he was still good enough to keep playing and he played strong.

A ridiculous idea.

However, the only way it would make any sense is if Quinn was all in on him, which I doubt. I'd rather see them look towards Sherman for leadership...at least he can still play a little.

He should...they have proved without a doubt that they don't value the position and only want to pay incentive laden deals for free agents at the position and won't draft someone within the first 3 rounds at the position. IF he was someone they wanted, he fits the type of player they would take a chance on...spend low and hope the player exceeds the investment because they were formerly a blue chip talent.

Earl Thomas is damaged goods so his price and length of deal will be low...the Jones boys would love that. Earl would also be able to use them to get to a real check next offseason if he performs. Win/win...I guess.

Note: This is not happening btw. They are not interested in Earl Thomas. If they were, he would have been on the team already.

How is anybody who heard the story about him and brother in bed with some woman gonna look at him as a coach and take him seriously?

Well that and who the heck knows who our FS even is.

We need an Earl Thomas type of player.. Kind of makes sense to just sign Earl Thomas.

But the question is what on earth did he do to get booted out of the league.
Idk what he did but man take a look at his Instagram. His pictures look very strange and his eyes look empty. Half the comments on his posts are people asking if he’s ok and that he looks sick/needs to get help.

I scrolled to a few older pics and his demeanor and captions even are much more normal. I know I know it’s just selfies and stuff but dude looks very off in his posts now. Kinda creepy tbh.

His last few posts have been better but man from like April 8th back a few posts it was off as heck.

A historically proud defensive team like the Baltimore Ravens voted him out of team, from bottom to top level. No thanks.

Now I'm finally OK with this. He won't cost much at all and there's a different coaching staff here. Not the Garrett clown show!

with those bizarre mental issues he has demonstrated ? ,,teams and players around the NFL maybe very leery about him being on their team.
He's obviously not right in the head.
if not he'd still be with the Ravens or on another NFLteam by now .

Thomas' last season with Baltimore was the definition of average. His best football is long past and now there's baggage with him as well.

If you bring him in people will see the name and think upgrade, but at this point Donovan Wilson is a better player.

31 years old.. Not old for a safety. Especially a legend like him that doesn’t play up in the box.
... have to agree, @31 I would say has maybe 2-3 more good years under his belt.
