I doubt ppl are furious, but if you ask if Bohanna and Mukamu in the 6th round is adequate? I'd say no.

I like both players, but for this year I view Mukamu as a backup type player, while, Bohanna is a rotational/situational guy. Dallas needed bonafide starters. But we'll see who knows maybe they surprise us.

I'm not upset because of how the draft fell. If the Cowboys had gotten a corner in the 1st it would have been easier to get a safety in the 2nd. But once we didn't get the corner we had to in the 2nd and character issues aside, Kelvin Joseph was bpa. I wasn't that high on Moehrig as a single high safety. It was Grant/Holland or bust imo and those guys went before Moehrig did.

Moehrig was simply the best of a very average rookie class of safeties. It's not like the Cowboys missed out on Darren Woodson by not getting him.

Let's not forget Donovan Wilson could be an answer for a long, long time and the Cowboys picked up a short term solution at free safety in Damontae Kazee. This wan't a great class at either safety or DT so Dallas could just be looking at stopgaps until the 2022 draft.

I see a weak top end DT class but I dont agree with S class. Sure S class may not have an Earl Thomas or Eric Berry but there were plenty of talent in late 1 or 2nd who can start for many teams for years. Certainly they offer significant upgrade over what we’ve got on the roster.

let say Wilson works out. Big if... Kazee is off an injured year and only signed for one year. So next year even if Wilson works out we are STILL looking for another S. I feel like we can’t get off this Merry Go Around.

Don't be surprised if one of our shiny new CBs is suddenly a FS. Just saying.

I wouldn’t go into the season banking on a reach in 3rd and a 6th rounder to suddenly covert to starting FS material. Be great if it did but odds are against it. Chances are only 1 is still on the roster at start of the season.

I believe they tried there’s 31 other teams that want good players . I don’t think they were that keen on Trevon because of the back and Holland is who I think they wanted but if I’m trying to remember if someone traded up to get him no I think that was grant . Miami took him at 4 the pick in round 2 I think that’s right

you have to have a dance partner . They might have been able to get trevon if the wanted but I’m not sure they wanted

I didn’t see much in the way of 1 tech . I think they didn’t want to overdraft one but they wasted a third on a corner they could have had later they should have over drafted a 1 tech

but all in all I’m actually please with draft with the exception of the 3rd round corner nothing really angered me

They are like unicorns if you are the Cowboys. We are still looking.
I disagree. They never looked. Dontario Poe was the first +320 I remember signed as a FA. The Landry Flex, Jimmy Johnson Attack 4-3, Parcells 3-4, Phillips 3-4, and Tampa 2 never called for big +320 pound DTs.

If that is what you want, fat tree trunk guys, they are not hard to find. Remember Vince Wolfork, Shaun Rodgers, Poe, were a freak athletes that just happen to be +320. Remember Ratliff, Hatcher, Canty, and Spears were all 285-310 on 6-4 to 6-6 frames out of College. Tony Casillas and Chad Hennings were not +320 pound run stoppers.

Name me the +320 DT on the Legion of Boom? Nobody, closest was Red Bryant and he was a freak athlete 6-4-318 pounds running a 4.90 40yd time.

I think the early run on Safety in the second took them out of the running.

I think with COVID and teams not having the same access to information they usually would have, they wanted to keep all of their picks to throw as many darts at the board as possible given that. Just my two cents.

I know a lot of members on here kept preaching how this could finally be the year these 2 positions would be addressed and of course we got nothing. Yeah, don't consider a 6th rounder in a weak draft a solution either. Who here is still furious over this?
I'm not. We threw numbers at linebacker & CBs. Idk if people expected a complete rebuild of every position on defense.

I think Gallimore showed flashes last year, and Hill also prior to his injury. If these players continue to grow, suddenly the D-line doesnt look so bad.

If we can grab a stud NT and FS in next years draft, the defense will be looking good with young talent (assuming we hit on some of our picks)

There’s a difference between looking and truly investing in a big run stuffing DT that we’ve cried for. I can’t recall we put any real capital toward one in the past 10 years off the top of my head.

Sad part is we could have addressed both. 2nd round trade up one spot for Moerhig. 3rd round trade up 2 spots for McNeil.

I think once they didn't get corner round 1 they were out the running. 2.44 was basically guaranteed to be a corner at that point.

This FO really doesn’t know what it’s doing. Two years ago we reached for Hill while passing on several good starting S. 2 years later we are STILL looking for both! FO needs to understand that it does take time to built a team. Draft the highest rated guy that also fulfill your need this year and if other position of need doesn’t get filled by a late rounder then look in FA or the following year. Don’t window dress your board.
So you’re not even willing to give this picks a chance? Damn that’s pretty dumb.
