I think that comparison is a super long reach. I think his upside is most comparable to the bucs lber

I know you can't tell a whole lot from highlights but if you watch his highlights on youtube, there is nearly fifteen minute of highlights. There isn't any fluff in the video like some. Solid highlights for 15 minutes, he is a worker.

LOL. I was actually looking at highlights, just not of him. You just gave me a great target. I will watch it. I was just joking around because of the thread title.

I'm 10 minutes into it. From what I can see, he makes up for a lack of speed with ball awareness, angles, contain, and shedding blockers. The complete opposite of what we saw with Trysten Hill highlights. I hope his game translates well at the pro level.

Yeah, it is actually titled Top 47 plays. I've seen 10 minute videos on players that have 8-9 highlights but they slow motion them a couple of times to get the fluff up to 10 minutes. He just seems really active and always in on the play.

That's the key thing I noticed. He was reading plays very well. Reading, shedding, and being on the spot. Not a lot of speed or bull rush, but the positioning and angles made up for it at the college level. The video I watched was 14.55. Probably a lot of the same.

Where I think Golston may surprise us is if we kick him inside on 3rd down.. That’s where the potential upside is.

If he is never a pressure player than at least we should have a guy that holds his own at the LOS.

He seems to shed well. That's what the Cowboys need. Run stopping. If we're good against the run, everything changes.

Haven't a clue where they will play him but he looks like a player that has to be accounted for. He just seems to be around the ball. Initially I was down on the pick but i think there more to this guy.

Is it true that his uniform will come with a cape?

I hope, in time, that Parsons will be one of the greats, but he's not just being anointed here, he is being deified.

He's a cross between a HOFer and Super Bowl MVP and he hasn't even put on a jock strap for the Cowboys yet.

That's a lot of pressure for a guy that hasn't played since December, 2019.

He's a combination of Ray Lewis, Von Miller, John Wick, and Batman.

Whether people want to admit it or not. Parsons is extremely raw.. He’s just really good at, like he said in his presser, see ball get ball.

See ball get ball has been noticeably lacking of late for our defence.

Catch... you keep bringing this up. Like a ton of your posts, but for the life of me I do not understand why you believe a 4.4 guy that has fluid hips and has proven athletic ability will be unable handle coverage from time to time.

Do I isolate him on guys like Tyreek Hill? Of course not. Could he hang with Kelce? I think he can. He also has a sense and sees plays well. Sniffs out screens and misdirection.

I bet by game 8 you will be a big fan.
lets not talk trash this early.

I’m not a fan of the pick until he proves he can cover. If he can’t cover than it’s a wasted pick IMO.

This is just Lavar Arringtons take.

I'd say so too. Can't pick a LB at 12 who can be a liability on the field.

He has a valid point because there isnt a whole bunch of tape on Parsons in coverage. Is parsons capable? absolutely. is it proven just yet?.......no.

The RKG culture was always about the way guys approached the game. It was never about Boy Scouts. There were just too many interpretations going around on this board.

One thing that jumps out on tape is his closing speed, when he gets a lane to the QB it looks like everybody else goes in slow motion except him. Hope Quinn will keep him near the line of scrimmage. I'm sure he can cover even if it is not a strength. He played DE and RB in high school.
Nah rkg guys were guys coaches loved but werent actually good players. Due to brown nosing and politics.
